Francis H. Franks Sr
MULESHOE - Francis H. Franks Sr., 79, died Monday, March 2, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stacy Conner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home.
Mr. Franks was born in Russell, Okla. He moved to the Muleshoe area in 1965 from Arch, N.M.
He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater of Operations.
Mr. Franks married Ruth Emma Brand in 1945 at Wilson, Minn. She died in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Francis H. Franks Jr. and Danny Gene Franks, both of Muleshoe; two sisters, Ina Ruth Hope of Fort Worth and Cora Bell Koller of Duarte, Calif.; and four brothers, Edwin Franks of Marysville, Calif., William Jack Franks of Sacramento, Calif., Carroll Franks of Carmichael, Calif., and J.C. Franks of Littlefield.
The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
