Mrs S. R. GOODE Pioneer Woman Dies Last night; Rites Tuesday 

Mrs Clara GOODE, wife of S. R. GOODE died at 7:30 p.m. at the family home 
on Haystack creek 10 miles northwest of Mangum. Mrs GOODE was a pioneer 
resident of Greer County, having come to this county with her husband in 
1898 and thereafter making her home at the family homestead on Haystack creek.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Greer Funeral home at 2:00 p.m. 
Tuesday, with the Rev Moreland, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. 
Internment will be made at Riverside cemetery.
Mrs. GOODE was born at Bellville, Texas, May 18, 1871. She was married to Mr. GOODE 
at Bellville in 1885. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Besides her husband Mrs. GOODE is survived by six children and six grandchildren. 
The children are J. W. GOODE, Waco, Texas; Fay GOODE, Mangum; Mrs. Clara PHILLIPS, 
Houston, Texas; Mrs Fannie MCREYNOLDS,Wichita, Kansas; Rowe GOODE, Mangum; and 
Mrs. Opal KING, Oklahoma City. Mrs. Goode died Dec. 18, 1932
