All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Oak Mound Cemetery--Healdsburg CA Santa Rosa Press Democrat Published on March 26, 1996 JOHN HAMMACK John Hammack, a prune farmer who also worked as a forklift operator at the former Sunsweet Growers in Healdsburg, died Thursday at his Santa Rosa home. He was 85. Hammack, born in Willow, Okla., moved to Santa Rosa 53 years ago. Besides farming and working for Sunsweet, he was a carpenter and did other jobs. He also liked to fish, camp and garden. His family said his favorite hobby was repairing power mowers. Nammack is survived by his second wife, Virginia Hammack of Santa Rosa; sons, Charles Hammack of Santa Rosa, Fred Hammack of Fremont, Troy Hammack of Ukiah, and Alan Hammack of Windsor; daughters, Dorothy Lara of Windsor, Katherine Uber of Colusa and Doris Giannoni, Thelma Flynn, and Sue Luppi, all of Santa Rosa; stepson, Jim Haney of Citrus Heights; brother, J.V. Hammack of Windsor; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Services were at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, Santa Rosa. Burial was at Oak Mound Cemetery, Healdsburg. Memorial donations are preferred to the Christian Life Center, P.O.
