PERRY DAILY JOURNAL 18 MAR 1935

John Wesley HESTER, 93 years of age, of Granite, who was visiting in Perry, 
died at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Tom WETZEL, Sunday night. 
He had been ill for the past week.
He was a pioneer of the section coming here at the opening of the Cherokee Strip. 
For the past several years he has been living with a son at Granite. He has been 
a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1870 and was a member of the Presbyterian church.
He is survived by two sons, E. HESTER of Granite and M. HESTER of Enid.
Funeral servies will be held in Granite Tuesday. Christopher and Newton are 
in charge of the body.
