I think this was a friend to the family but not sure. I hope that it helps the family that it belongs to. G.A.MITCHELL Dies at Huntsville, Ark. Monday, Feb. 6th-Family formerly lived at Granite leaving for Arkansas six years ago. An announcement was received here during the weekend of the death of G. A. Mitchell, former Granite business man, who died at the family home in Huntsville, Arkansas, Monday, February 6, Mr.MITCHELL had been in ill health for several years, suffering with liver and stomach complications. Last summer he spent several weeks in a hospital near his home, and his condition had been alarming for months. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Huntsville Tuesday afternoon, with Rev.C. L. Fry, pastor of the Huntsville church officiating. Burial was made in the Huntsville cemetery. The Mitchell family were pioneers of Greer County, and settled here before statehood. Previous to coming to Granite they had filed on a claim in Washita county. Mr MITCHELL was one of the early grocery men here later going into the shoe repair business. About six years ago the family moved to Huntsville, Arkansas, and settled on a farm. Mr. MITCHELL was 68 years of age, and a native of Georgia. He had many friends here who will regret to learn of his death. Raymond MITCHELL, oldest son of Mr.and Mrs. MITCHELL died here in 1930. He was an electrician and was electrocuted while working on a high line east of Granite. Their daughter, Linnie MITCHELL, died two years later, and was buried beside her brother here. Immediate survors are the widow Mrs. Rosa MITCHELL, one daughter, Mrs.Pat PASCHAL, Huntsville, Arkansas and one son, Gene MITCHELL of Fresno, California. Also: Two brothers and three grandchildren. Another artical - Arrives Here Monday - Ben MITCHELL arrived here Monday from Huntsville, Arkansas,where he was called some time ago by the serious illness of his brother, G.A. MITCHELL, former Granite resident Mr.MITCHELL passed away February 6th. Mr.MITCHELL visited an Oklahoma City hospital for observation en route here. He was on his way to visit his brother, Marshall MITCHELL at Gould.
