WAYNE MORGAN APRIL 21, 1942 - JUNE 30, 2006 Wayne Corky Morgan, 64, of Loleta went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2006, after a 2 1/2 year battle with Leukemia. Wayne was born in Mangum, OK. He came to Hughson, CA at the age of five and graduated from Hughson High School and Stanislaus State with a B.A. degree in biological science. Wayne was employed at Stanislaus County Air Pollution Control District for over 15 years, then he started a Tri-County Air Quality Program in Grass Valley and finally retired in 2002 as the Director of the North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District in Eureka, CA. He was a member of the 1st Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Eureka, past President of CAPCOA (California Air Pollution Control Officers Association), and an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Morgan of Loleta; three daughters; Sheri Quigley of Eureka, Cynthia Smurr of Seattle, WA, and Jill Rossmann of Tacoma, WA; three grandchildren; Jessica and Richelle Quigley and Daniel Rossmann; his sister, LaDean Hilgenberg of Oakdale and his brother, Donnie Morgan of Modesto. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Hap and Iva Morgan. Visitation at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto this Thursday from 4-9pm. Funeral services 10 am on Friday. Reception immediately following services at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Coburn. Private burial at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. At Wayne's request, donations can be made to one of the following: The Leukemia Society, The Cancer Society Relay for Life Team #12 in Eureka, or Ride 4 Wayne contact at tworockent@aol.com for information.
