All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Former Vernon resident Boss Johnson (BJ) Sells, 77, of Tuttle, Okla., died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Granite City Cemetery under directions of Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf. Sells was born April 22, 1924 near Lone Wolf, a son of the late Boss Johnson and Margaret Belle Hargis Sells. He grew up in the Hobart-Lone Wolf area, attending Kiowa County schools where he was active in FFA. A member of the First Baptist Church of Lone Wolf, he retired from Rowan Drilling Company in 1985 after 30 years of employment. Surviving are two sons, Stuart Sells of Poteau, Okla. and Charles Sells of Tuttle; Two daughters, Sandra Pierce of Killeen and Charlene Day of Spiro, Okla.; three brothers, Cread Sells of Lone Wolf, Bass Sells of Joplin, Mo; and Shirl Sells of Redmond, Ore.; two sisters, Blanche Williams and Lucille White, both of Albuquerque, N. M.; and six grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry Eston Sells, and four sisters, Gene Iven, Gladdis Leudella, Loura and Eneval. Memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lone Wolf.
