Doc Russell Vermillion

Doc Russell Vermillion, 90, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Sept. 9. 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Comanche Trail Church of Christ Chapel with Loran Harper, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
Mr. Vermillion was born in Greer County, Okla., and moved to Amarillo at a young age. He was a plumber and owner/operator of Triple A Plumbing. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 196 and Comanche Trail Church of Christ.
He married Lula Maude Gilliam in 1928 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Carole Vermillion, both in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie June Atchison of Amarillo; a son, Ray Vermillion of League City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Comanche Trail Church of Christ, Senior Room Building Fund, P.O. Box 30516, Amarillo, TX.
