Ruth AVERY SMITH, 83 passed away Sunday, 10 Jan 1999. 

Ruth was born 3 Nov 1915 at Jester, Greer County, OK, to Audrey Mills AVERY and 
Emma Blanch WELLS. She married George E. SMITH 12 June 1936 in Mangum. George 
preceded her in death 25 Nov, 1953. 
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers.
Ruth served as Greer County Clerk for many years & had retired from that position.
She is survived by a son of Mangum; a daughter of  Oklahoma City; three brothers 
and one sister; also five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great- 
great-grandchild.
