Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Aug. 212 Putnam Alma Putnam, 92, died Tuesday at Harmon Memorial Hospital, Hollis. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Hollis First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Patterson Greer Funeral Home, Hollis. She was born on Dec. 14, 1909 to Edd and Ethel (Abercrombit) Curb in Gould. She married Bryan Putnam in May 1933 in Gould and they raised their four children in Harmon County. She was a homemaker and educator and loved children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hollis and enjoyed teaching Sunday School there for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Val Curb, Olaf Curb, and Ralph Curb, and tsisters Marjorie Cannedy and Lou Woodman. Survivors include daughters John and Ruth Anderson, Sulphur; Tom and Betty Motley, Hollis; and Fredda Mitchell, Amarillo, Texas; son Ed and Mary Putnam, Altus; sisters Joyce Claxton, Knoxville, Tennessee and Opal Brookman, Hollis; grandchildren Jackie Whitley, McRae Anderson, Tammie Benn, Bryan Anderson, Stan Motley, Melissa Motley, Roger Mitchell, Janet Laughter, Kari Putnam, Aaron Putnam, Paige Redden, and Michael Redden; twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
