Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Ada Mae McDaniel, 84, died Friday at her home northwest of Hollis. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Dodson Church of Christ in Dodson, Texas. Burial will be at the Dodson Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are with Stewart Funeral Service of Hollis. She was born July 31, 1917 in Hollis to B.O., Sr. and Mary Lena Huff Burk. She married Newell Grant McDaniel Jan. 5, 1935 in Altus. They lived their entire life in and near Hollis. She was a member of the Church Christ, a full time homemaker and enjoyed quilting. She operate a honey business at the farm for 15 years and was a seamstress. She is survived by two sons, Lyndall Dale and wife, Alice who live at the family farm northwest of Hollis and Kerry Don and wife, Kara of Arlington, Texas; one daughter, Anita McDaniel of the home; two sisters, Ruth Erickson and Bernice McNabb; two brothers, Roy Burk and B.O. Burk, Jr.; 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Tillie McDaniel of Dodson. She was preceded in death by her son, Max Von in 1995, her husband, Newell on Aug. 20, 2000; two sisters, Yvonne and Oleta, and three brothers, Floyd, Fern and Newell.
