Ada Violet Goad, 93, of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., died Sept. 28. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. 
Saturday at the Patterson-Greer Funeral Home Chapel in Hollis. Jeff Foster will officiate. Burial will follow 
at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis.

She was born Dec. 8, 1907, at Childress, Texas, to William and Alice Sommers. She married Athel "Pud" 
Goad. She was an active lady, working for many years as a homemaker. She was a member of the 
Church of Christ in Hollis.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982.

She is survived by two grandsons, John Lee Rowell and Darrell Keith Rowell; two granddaughters, Darla 
Johnson and Carla Gosselin; and five great-grandchildren, Justin Lee Rowell, Shelair Anne Rowell, 
Nathaniel Johnson, Annie Johnson and Kathleen Johnson.
