Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Nov. 22, 2002 Bailey Payton Stinson, 88, died at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Needwood Cemetery near Lutie, Texas. Junior Nippert will officiate. Stewart Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. He was born Dec. 3, 1913, northwest of Vinson to James Edward and Hattie Velena Upton Stinson. He attended Opal School until the sixth grade before moving to Needwood, Texas. He married Opal Fronterhouse in 1932, just south of the original homestead. Later, he worked for the Sante Fe Railroad Company for 25 years. He retired in 1979 and went back to ranching. He lived in the Vinson community all of his life. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He is survived by daughter Delta Gaye Stinson of Altus; son Claston Stinson of Texas; grandsons Tony and Steven Graham of Oklahoma City, Nikki and Chris Graham of Harrah, Gregory Graham of Blanchard; granddaughters Shelee Swartzendruber of Edmond, Shauna Singleton of Blanchard and Jana Weigel of Noble; and his special and best friend Irma Morgan of Mangum. Bailey was preceded in death by his father James Stinson; mother Hattie Stinson; daughter Delphine Graham in 1975; son Joe Stinson in 1987 and grandson Tim Graham in 1997.
