Cameron, 88, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave., with the Rev. Gary Kellisone and Mazie Richards of Bethel Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Rev. Cameron was born in Hollis, Okla., and was an 80-year resident of Amarillo. He had been a pastor in the Amarillo area for more than 40 years. He was employed by the Amarillo Fire Department before he became a pastor. He worked for the fire department for nine years. He was the founder of Full Gospel Faith Temple Association and was involved with them from 1954 to 1967. He was an evangelist from 1968 to 1997. He married Ola Belle Cameron in 1952. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ruth Burnside of Amarillo; a son, James Cameron of Amarillo; two brothers, Willy Cameron of Mount Pleasant and Luther Cameron of Irving; four grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
