Archives. ************************************************************ Woodman "Charlie" Eugene Woodman, a life long resident of Gould, died Thursday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus at the age of 89. Services were held Saturday at the Gould Methodist Church. The Rev. Dee Willis officiated. Interment followed at the Gould Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Patterson Greer Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 21, 1912 to Jennie Morris Woodman and Roy Albert Woodman in Gould. He married Ollie Kellar Woodman in 1972. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He served in the infantry, participating in both the North African and Italian Campaign. He was active in the American Legion and was a member of the Methodist Church. He enjoyed horse racing and traveling with friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Hughes Woodman, his parents and brothers, Jack Woodman and E.O. "Jelly" Woodman. He is survived by his wife Ollie of Gould; sons Roy Woodman of Iowa Park, Texas, and Albert Woodman of Electra, Texas, Breant Woodman; daughters Charlene St. Laurent of Charlottsville, Va. and Hellen Bailey of Omaha, Texas; step-children, Linda Baird, Jackie Shaddix, and Clifford Hooper; 12 grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
