Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ JULY 18: Jackson Erma Lovena Jackson, 94, died Wednesday at Harmon Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Hoyt Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Dryden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service. She was born Jan. 24, 1908 in Hollis to Walter P. and Effie Goodwin Pierce. She attended Hollis High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hollis. She married Jay Orvil Jackson Dec. 18, 1926 in Harmon County. She was a housewife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and caring for family and others. She is survived by her husband Jay, of the home; a son, Harold J. Jackson of Tulsa; two daughters, Wanda Jo Womack of Oklahoma City, and Eureta Nance of Azle, Texas; a sister, Johnnie Simmons; six grandchildren, six great- grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Effie Pierce; two sisters, Vida Hulse and Vergie Crowder; one brother, James Pierce and her great-grandson, Jayson Lee Jackson.
