Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ June 13, 2002: Frankie Mae Harris, 81, died Wednesday at her home in Hollis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Calvary Community Church in Hollis. The Rev. Wilmer Cooper, the Rev. Robbie, the Rev. Odis Babers and the Rev. Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service. She was born June 12, 1921 in Tatums to Ellis Drain and Gracie Drain. She attended school in Tatums. She served in the community of Hollis from 1946 until her death. She attended Pilgrim Baptist Church in Tatums, Zion Hill Baptist Church in Hollis and the Sunset Baptist Church in Altus. She enjoyed gardening and sewing quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was known as "Big Mama" to all her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Jack Harris of Hollis; three sons, Samuel Harris and wife, Thelma of Fort Worth, Texas, O.B. Harris and wife, Earline of Fort Worth, Texas and Herbert Harris of Hollis; two daughters, Ethel Harris of Hollis and Savannah Harris of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Lillie Young, of Tatums, Vestella Williams of Wichita, Kan. and Naomi Colbert of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Lou Carl Young of Tatums, Ellis Drain of Duncan; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one daughter, and one son.
