Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Forrest Raymond, 86, passed away on Tuesday at Wellington, Texas. Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Vinson Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Elbert Shumaker and the Rev. Harry Stallings. Burial will follow at Cave Creek Cemetery in Vinson. Arrangements are with Greer Funeral Home in Mangum. He was born Feb. 2, 1915 in Vinson to George W. and Julia (Worthen) Overton. He began farming and ranching at an early age. On Oct. 6, 1934, he married Ruby Virginia Downs at Hollis. They made their home at Vinson where he lived all of his life. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Overton, Vinson, a daughter, Patricia Brown and her husband, Ed of Singapore; two grandchildren, John Ed Brown and his wife, Kathy of Chugiak, Alaska, and Luke Brown and his wife, Jane of Anchorage, Alaska; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lauren and Sophie Brown; a brother, Russell Overton and his wife, Reva of Vinson.
