Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Georgie (Clarey) Mills Myers, 88, passed away Sunday at the Purcell Municipal Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Larry C. Herrin will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Louis Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Simoison officiating. She was born March 14, 1913 in Reagen to James Virgil Clarey and Mary Francis Miller Clarey. She grew up on a farm in Johnson County. In 1919, her family moved to Bethel near the Louis Hill Community where they continue to farm. She married Jessie Samuel Mills. They raised seven children and farmed cotton for nearly 30 years along the Red River south of Hollis. Her husband died in 1965 and later she married life long friend "N.L." Nathaniel Myers. He died in 1998. She was a member of the Hollis Baptist Church. She had been a resident of the Lexington Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, three sisters, Opal, Bessie and Margie, four brothers, Acle, Jesse, Hoover and Lonnie; one son, Billy Ray Mills, a son-in-law, Kelly Joe Smith an infant daughter, Paula Jay, one infant great-grandson, Matthew Shane Vallery. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Bill West of Altus, Ona Smith and Paul Lackey of Okmulgee, Phyllis and Don Hammon of Sulphur and Katricia and Ricky Cheek of Lexington, a son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Barbara Mills of Vero Beach, Fla. 11 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. **********************************************
