Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Teague George Wilburn Teague, 83, died at his home south of Gould Tuesday. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Gould with the Rev. Ralph Chapman and the Rev. Rick Simonson officiating. Burial will follow at Gould Cemetery. Stewart Funeral Service of Hollis is in charge of arrangements. He was born in Ashville, Ala., July 19, 1919 to Chesley and Della Griffin Teague. He married Ursula "Sue" Trout, July 5, 1947 in Oklahoma City. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant on Oct. 30, 1960 with 20 years of service. Upon retirement he made his home in Gould. He later retired from the U.S. Civil Service in August of 1982. He took an active part in several organizations. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, was a member of the Scottish Rite Masons, The Order of Eastern Star, Past Patron and the Gould American Legion. He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Gould. George enjoyed the outdoors and spending his days gardening, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Sue of the home; sons George Lee and wife Diane and Richard Michael and wife Shaun, all of Edmond; daughter Janis Sue Herron and husband Roger of Duke; sister Neva Bailey of Opelika, Ala; brothers John Teague of Fairfield, Calif. and Cecil Teague of Decatur, Ala.; sisters-in-law Mayburn Teague of Childersburg, Ala and Mary Jane Teague, both Opelika, Ala; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ralph, Alden, Claxton, Richard, and Hasel; and daughter Tammy Margaret.
