Archives. ************************************************************ Inez "Sweet" Worthen Graveside services for Inez "Sweet" Worthen, 83, Edmond, were held today Monday at the Highland Cemetery in Lawton.. The Rev. Bill Mosley, officiated. She died Saturday in Edmond. She was born July 24, 1918 in Milburn. She and her family moved to Reed where she graduated from Reed High School. She married Dwight F. Worthen Nov. 14, 1939 and he died in 1986. They owned and operated the Vinson telephone exchange until they moved to Lawton. She led an active life where participated in quartet singing, playing golf and bridge. She was member of the Easter Star Lodge and a the Lakewood Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Ark. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Myers of Edmond, a son, James Allen Worthen of Altus and a sister, Della Freeman of Mangum, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
