Estes Jr., 72, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Arlie Cemetery with Rick Popejoy, minister of Bowie Street Church of Christ in Wellington, officiating. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mr. Estes was born March 26, 1930, in Altus, Okla., to James Carl and Gladys Brown Estes. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. Survivors include his wife, Bethine; two sons, Vic Estes of Spring and Marty Estes of Houston; two stepsons, James Wolf of Fort Stockton and Thomas Wolf of Hollis, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Sue Porter of Claremore, Okla.; three granddaughters; eight stepgrandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Arlie Cemetery; or Childress County Veterans Memorial.
