Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ April 2002 Katie V. Robinson, 94, of Gould died early today in the Harmony County Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gould Methodist Church with burial at the Gould Cemetery. She was born Jan. 30, 1908 in Pauls Valley to Robert and Susan Ellen (McFarland) Brewer. She married Lemuel Reed Morris in August, 1926. They spent the rest of their lives in Harmon County, farming west of Gould, and raising their family. She worked in the fields with her husband, fed harvest crews, tended to homemaking tasks and worked various jobs in Gould and Hollis. She loved gospel music and was an active singer with the Fourth Sunday Singing group, the Harmon County Singing Convention and the Gould Methodist Church where she was a member. Following the death of her first husband, Lem in July, 1961, she married Howard Robinson in October, 1963. She continued to help him on the farm until his death in December, 1972. Survivors include daughters Betty Jean Bullington of Gould and Tawana Sue and husband Thomas H. Temple, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas ; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren, many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband; second husband; daughter Ramona Ann in 1997; six brothers and three sisters, a great-grandson in 1974 and a great-great grandson in 1999.
