Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Ladessa Motley McBrayer, 91, passed away Thursday at Harmon County Memorial Hospital in Hollis. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Hollis with the Rev. Henry McBrayer and the Rev. Andy Overman officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairmont Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service of Hollis. She was born Oct. 17, 1910 to James Henry and Fannie Lou Whisenant Motley in Hollis. She attended Hollis schools and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. She was a teacher and a landlord in Hollis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the 1931 Sorosis, Guest Club and Retired Teacher's Association. She loved sports, art, music, and was a teacher at church. She married Thomas Morris McBrayer March 26, 1933 in Hollis where they made their home. She is survived by her son. Henry McBrayer and wife, Ruby of Burleson, Texas; daughter, Tomala McBrayer Howard of Tulsa; grandchildren, Mandi McBrayer of Tulsa,, Matthew and Michael McBrayer both of Woodward and Marc Howard of Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom McBrayer, Aug. 25, 1979 and her parents, Henry and Fannie Whisenant Motley, both of Hollis.
