Loredo Weldon, 87, of Hollis, passed away Monday. Services are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at the 
Patterson-Greer Funeral Home Chapel in Hollis. The Rev. T.J. Pittman will officiate and burial will follow 
at Cave Creek Cemetery in Vinson.


She was born Sept. 21, 1914 at Montague County, Texas to Jack and Gertie Wilkerson. She married 
Cecil Weldon on Jan. 7, 1930 in Hollis. He died in July of 1993. She was active, helping her husband on 
the farm for many year and was also known for making quilts and crocheting. 


She was preceded in death by two her youngest children who were infants, her husband, Cecil; her 
parents, Jack and Gertie Wilkerson; two sisters and one brother.


She is survived by daughters, Patsy Rogers of Durant and Glenda Gordon and husband Ronnie of 
Plainview, Texas. son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Weldon of Leedy; a brother, Jackie 
Wilkerson of Paris, Ark; sisters, Bernice Roberts of Anaheim, Calif., Ocena Cansler and husband Chet of 
Richfield, Utah, Beth Buchanan and husband Doyle of Fritch, Texas; grandchildren, Sherlene Rogers and 
Carol Dillingham, both of Durant, Donna Torrez of Nashville, Tenn., Ronna Simpson of Canyon, Texas, 
Keith Weldon of Fort Worth, Texas, Lonna Weldon of Amarillo, Texas, Monte Ray Weldon of Kingman, 
Kan.; six great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
