Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ OCT. 29 Mattie Lee (Streetman)Russell, 92, Tulsa, formerly of Blair, died Sunday at the Maple-wood Care Center in Tulsa. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Blair with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow services at the Restlawn Cemetery in Altus under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. The Russell family will receive friends and visitors this evening fro 6 to 8 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born June 18, 1910 in Sherman, Texas to Joe and Hazel (Savage) Streetman. She attended school at Pleasant Point in Jackson County. She married Eddie Lee Russell May 8, 1926 and helped out on the family farm in Blair while raising her family and later worked at Randall's, Dunlap's and Anthony's as a retail sales clerk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blair. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, bingo and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Russell in 1989; a son, Donald Ray Russell; two brothers; one step brother and one step sister. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jimmy Jarnagin, Tulsa; a daughter-in-law, Marion Russell, Lakewood, California; eight grandchildren, Donna Smith, Altus; Tammy Cryer, Eddie Jarnagin and Kim Barton, all of Tulsa; Danny Russell, California; Kathy Prentice, California; Ruth Ann Swenson, Pennsylvania; Jeff Russell, California; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and many friends.
