Archives. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/harmon/harmon.htm *********************************************************************** Sulphur Times-Democrat Thursday, November 30, 1989 STAMPS, Norman "Pete" Graveside services for Norman "Pete" STAMPS, 70 Sulphur, were held Tuesday, November 28, 1989, 2 p.m., at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City with Hubert Plumlee officiating. Clagg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemnets. Mr. Stamps died Saturday, Novemeber 25, in Sulphur. He was born November 1, 1919, in Hollis, OK, and was raised in that area. He later lived in Amarillo, TX, and Oklahoma City before moving to Sulphur three years ago following retirement. He was a retired RCA sales (man) for Dick Christman in Oklahoma City. He married Maxine Waddell, May 31, (year not given) in Eureka Springs, AR. Mr. Stamps was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the VFW. Surviving are his wife, Maxine Stamps, of the home; two daughters, Linda Townsend, El Reno, and Wanda Pilgrim, Carlsbad, NM; one son, Frank E. Stamps, Perryton, TX; two brothers, L.E. Stamps, Panhandle, TX, and Loyd Stamps, Mobeetie, TX; and sisters, Hazel, Pauline, Ila, Gladys and Lahoma and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. ***********************************************************************
