Archives. ************************************************************ June 16, 2002: Ledbetter Ocie Ledbetter, 87, longtime Jackson County resident, died early Sunday morning at the English Village Nursing Home. Graveside services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Prairie Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene Foreman and the Rev. Roy Jaye officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 23. 1914 in Eldorado to Jefferson and Nellie Doughten. She graduated from Eldorado Schools. She married George Raymond Ledbetter on Aug. 11, 1934 in Altus. To this union, son Dale was born. She worked as an assistant physical therapist at the Mangum City Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Duke where she was an active member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.. She is survived by her son Dale Ledbetter and wife Gayle of Duke; sister Sue Morrow of Borger, Texas; brother Paul Doughten of Hollis; three granddaughters, Kim Mosley and husband Terry of Altus, Terry Jones of Altus, Pam McMains and husband Doug of Duke; five great-grandchildren, Mitchell Mosley and Brigham Mosely of Altus, Brant Jones and Vanessa Jones of Altus and Kolten McMains of Duke.
