Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Sister Mary Morrissey of Crown of Texas Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Quail Cemetery in Quail. Mr. Halsey was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Hollis, Okla. He has lived in Amarillo most of his adult life. He married Johnnie Blevins on Oct. 1, 1947, in Amarillo. He served in the Navy. He owned and operated several businesses during his lifetime, including H&H Music and the Bait and Cast Club. He was an avid fisherman. He loved his family and enjoyed telling jokes and long stories. Survivors include his wife; a son, Stevan Halsey of Canyon; and three granddaughters.
