Oliva "Leav" Stockton

QUITAQUE - Oliva "Leav'' Stockton, 84, died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997, 
in Lockney.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church, with 
the Rev. Anthony Sisemore officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven 
Cemetery. Arrangements are by Myers-Long Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Stockton was born at Quitaque. She married Ernest Sherrill 
Stockton in 1930 at Hollis, Okla. He died in 1974. She was a member 
of Fairmont Baptist Church, and she drove a "green thumb'' bus from 
1975 to 1990.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Stockton of Matador and Fred Stockton 
of Quitaque; two sisters, Francis Martin of Portales, N.M., and Eva 
Lea Weems of Carlsbad, N.M.; four grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
