Jewel Ethel Trammell

HOLLIS, Okla. - Jewel Ethel Trammell, 96, died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997, 
in Altus.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church Chapel 
with the Rev. James Densman, pastor, and Dr. Randy Davis officiating. 
Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery by Patterson Greer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Trammell was born in Kingsland, Texas. She married Arthur Cecil 
Trammell in 1925 at Amherst, Texas. He died in 1958.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where she taught a 
children's Sunday school class, and later a women's class, for more 
than 40 years.

Mrs. Trammell also was preceded in death by a son, John William 
Trammell, in 1989.

Survivors include five daughters, Dell Alexander of Waco, Texas, Mary 
Walkup and Bennie Davis, both of Amarillo, Naomi Jo Sutton of 
Lubbock, Texas, and Shirley Moore of Hollis; 15 grandchildren; 21 
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
