Adams, 89, a former Childress resident, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996, in Grand Prairie. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Mrs. Adams was born in Olympus and lived in Lonnie and Olympus until her family moved into Childress in 1964. She lived in Childress until 1984, when she moved to Hillsboro. In 1985, she moved to Mount Pleasant and lived there for about a year before moving to Grand Prairie in 1994. She married Gordon A. Adams in 1924 at Hollis, Okla. He died in 1969. She also was preceded in death by a son, James B. Adams, in 1996. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include two sons, Troy Adams of Arlington and Edwin A.
