Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ June 23, 2002: Donnell William Daniel Donnell, 38, died Tuesday in Lubbock, Texas. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dryden Church next to the Dryden Cemetery in Harmon County. Pastor Jim Westmoreland will officiate. Burial will follow at Dryden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service. He was born March 9, 1964 to William Orville Donnell and Sharon (Young) Donnell in Amarillo, Texas. He grew up in Lubbock and attended Coronado High School, Texas Tech and the University of Central Oklahoma. His membership was at Calvary Baptist Church. He was an active volunteer in Texas Special Olympics and National Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock. He worked at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Cox Communication. Deciding to further his education, he went back to school and in July was to complete his degree in medical transcription. Survivor include parents, Bill and Sharon, Lubbock; sister Elizabeth Ann Swain and husband John of Abernathy, Texas; nephew Will Swain; grandmother Edra Foulks Young of Amarillo, Texas. He was preceded in death by grandparents James Curtis Young, Orville V. Donnell, Marie Donnell; great-grandparents Fred and Rena Young, Henry and Beulah Foulks, all of Hollis. The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, Hospice, or the Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock in lieu of flowers.
