Okla. Archives. ************************************************************ Rose Zapata died Monday at the age of 62, at Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis. Services will be at 10 a.m.Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hollis with Father Joseph Jacobi officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Patterson Greer Funeral Home. A Rosary will be today at 7 p.m. at the Patterson Greer Chapel. She was born Sept. 28, 1937 in Holly, Colo. to Gerado and Matilda (Salazar) Ortiz. She married Paul Zapata in 1955, and they moved to Hollis where they made their home for 46 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Our Lady of Gaudalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home, two sons, Ernest Zapata of Arizona, Anselmo Zapata, of Arizona, three sisters, Josie Martinez of Colorado, Leno Ortiz of Colorado, Manuel Ortiz of Colorado, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
