Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Clayton, N.M. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with Deacon P. Louis Montoya officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mr. Maynes was born near Yates in Harding County, N.M., on May 1, 1929, to Severiano Maynes and Maria Fidelia (Romero) Maynes. He worked at the Union County Feedlot for 32 years, from 1969 until Dec. 1, 2001. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; two daughters, Maria Sandoval of Liberal, Kan., and Theresa Resendes of Trinidad, Colo.; three sons, Cecil Maynes of Laverne, Okla., Leslie Maynes and Tommy Maynes, both of Clayton; a sister, Adelia Herrera of Clayton; two brothers, Gene Romero of Guymon, Okla., and Filberto Maynes of Clayton; and seven grandchildren.
