Willie Mae Amos went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2006. She was born in Kinta, Oklahoma on March 25, 1921 and lived in Bakersfield for fifty-eight years. Willie Mae is survived by her husband, J.R. Amos of Bakersfield; daughter, Marilyn Shaw and husband, Richard of Bakersfield; grandsons and spouses, Tim and Becky Adams of Bakersfield, Todd and Darla Adams of Bakersfield; great- granddaughters, Alexa and Ashlynn Adams of Bakersfield. She is also survived by her brother, Howard Suth of Maricopa; sisters, Gerline Holt of Porterville, Juanita Plunky of Oklahoma, and Vivian Kinkendall of Oklahoma. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her brother, Stan Smith and daughter, Jimmie Lavonne. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Willie Mae loved her family as well as her extended church family. She will be missed by her whole family.
