MELBA IRENE BUNCH

(NANA)

Services:  Friday, Nov. 28, 11 a.m.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 
River Blvd., for Melba Irene (Nana) Bunch.  Rev. Johnny Maroney will 
officiate.

Irene was born September 29, 1919, in Keota, Oklahoma and left her 
beautiful life to be with our Lord on November 22, 2003.  Irene's 
family was at her bedside at her departure.

Irene is survived by her two sons and three daughters, all of 
Bakersfield.

Billy and Ginger Bunch, Bob and Jackie Bunch, Betty and Bob Sharp, 
Joyce and B. W. Cason and Joanna and Pete Briones; grandsons, Jody 
and Bobby Sharp, Chuck and Craig O'Brien, Paul and Christopher 
Briones and Rick and John Russell; granddaughters, Shelly banks, Lori 
(Bunch) Thompson, Kimmie Bunch, Julie Sharp and Nickie Cason.  She 
has 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Irene is 
also survived by sisters, Lucy Maroney of Bakersfield and Evelyn 
Mittman of Pennsylvania.

For the majority of her life Irene was a food and cocktail waitress 
and then went on to retire from Sav-On Drugs after 10 years as a 
cashier.  One of her passions was to be surrounded by her entire 
family and cook for them.  She loved nothing more than to watch her 
family enjoy one of her wonderful meals.

Mama was by far the best cook in the whole world.  She had a 
wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Mother we love you and we'll miss you!!!!

Sweet dreams Nana.  You will be in our hearts and thoughts everyday 
of our lives.  You're in God's keeping; we'll meet you again someday.  
We love you!!!!

Honorary casketbearers will be Jody Sharp, Bobby Sharp, Chuck 
O'Brien, Craig O'Brien, Paul Briones, Rick Russell, Christopher 
Briones and John Russell.  No viewing is scheduled.
