All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Greenlawn Cemetery--Bakersfield CA The Bakersfield Californian 22 October 2003 Elvin Daniel Carman "Dan" Aug 25, 1921 - Oct. 16, 2003 Visitation for Elvin Daniel Carman will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Thursday evening October 23, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. and funeral services will be held at Victory Chapel (800 Airport Drive) on Friday morning October 24, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kenneth Noel will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Dan was born on August 25, 1921, in Keota, Oklahoma, and he left his beautiful life here on earth to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 16, 2003, in Bakersfield with his family by his side. He leaves behind his loving wife, Beulah Carman; 4 sons, Daniel Carman of Oklahoma, James Carman of Fort Smith, Arkansas, William McGuffey of Ventura, CA, John McGuffey of Bakersfield; daughter, Dorothy Collier of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Lucy Moroney and Irene Bunch of Bakersfield, and Evelene Mitman of Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and church brothers, sisters and friends. Dan and Beulah had 42 precious years of life together. They were soul mates and created so many happy memories. Dan loved helping other people but most of all he loved to make Beulah feel so truly loved. He served our country in the U. S. Army Air Corps. during WW II. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Dan was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all that knew him as much as he loved them. Special Thanks to Billy Bunch, his nephew who he raised and who he loved as a brother.
