Jackie R. Gilstrap, a retired Air Force chief master sergeant, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association of Tarrant County, Box 9709, Fort Worth, Texas 76147. Jackie was born in Stigler, Okla., to Roy and Edna Gilstrap. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Kathy Gilstrap of Fort Worth; son, Michael R. Gilstrap and wife, Donna, of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Denise A. Daughtrey and husband, Tim, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Charissa Saenz and husband, John, Austin Gilstrap, Jackson Gilstrap, Mary Gilstrap, William Gilstrap, Andrew Gilstrap, Teresa Gilstrap and Catherine Gilstrap, all of Nashville, Tenn.; great-grandson, Michael Francis Saenz of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Robert Gilstrap and John Gilstrap of Oklahoma; and sisters, Fleeta Joyce Nelson and Eloise Wibben of Oklahoma.
