Thelma L. Powers

A Memorial service will be held for Thelma L. Powers, at Peters 
Funeral Home, on Monday, December 9, 2002, at 1:00 p.m.

Thelma was born August 30, 1934, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to Farrel and 
Gladys Bryant. Thelma married Harry B. Powers on May 10, 1957. 
Together they raised their 3 children, James, Mark and Sandra in 
Taft, and eventually moved to Shafter in 1970. Thelma was an 
excellent wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and her son, James 
Ford. She is survived by her son, Mark and wife, Theresa of Florida; 
daughter, Sandra and husband, Lee Roy Samarripas of Shafter; 
brothers, Lloyd Bryant of Sacramento, Charles Bryant of Old River, CA 
and Otto Bryant, of Shafter; sisters, Mary Ann Bryant, Bernice 
Winters, and Norma Westberry, all of Bakersfield; 5 grandchildren and 
3 great-grandchildren.

Thelma was greatly loved by her family and will be missed.
