All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Melrose Cemetery--Melrose NM Riddle, Maye Maye Williams Riddle, 95, of Melrose, N.M., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 14, 2007, in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at First Baptist Church, Melrose, N.M., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at the Melrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at the funeral home. Maye was born on May 16, 1911, in Stigler, Okla. She married Cullen Williams, on Dec. 27, 1934. They lived in the Field community while raising their five children. Maye was active in Field Baptist Church, County Extension Clubs and community life, where she had lots of long time friends. Maye and Cullen moved to Melrose in 1962, where she was active in First Baptist Church and Senior Citizens. Maye was always willing to help and was recognized by Senior Citizens of Curry County for her volunteering in visiting the shut-ins. Maye was preceded in death by Cullen Williams, in 1989, her husband of 51 years. Maye married Tom Riddle in 1992. They enjoyed going to ball games and traveling for several years before Tom's death in 2001. Maye is survived by five children, J.C. and wife, Ann Williams, of Tulsa, Okla., Mary and husband, Lavon Pagett, of Lubbock, Texas, Joe and wife, Mary Williams, of Piedmont, Okla., Sue and husband, Charlie Pankey, of Amarillo ,Texas and Bill and wife, Melba Williams, of Clovis, N.M.; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
