Willhite Jan. 18, 1930 — July 8, 2006 Billy J. Willhite, 76, of Turlock died Saturday at Doctors Medical Center, Modesto. Mr. Willhite was a native of Keota, Okla. He lived in Turlock 28 years and had lived in California since 1941. He worked as a bus driver and custodian with Delhi Elementary School District for 31 years. He served in the Army from 1951-53. He belonged to the Holy Ground Ministries and American Legion, and enjoyed listening to the Statler Brothers, and watching Western movies and television, especially "Walker, Texas Ranger." He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Willhite of Turlock; children, William Lee Willhite, Pamela Bell, Andrea Magana and Deborah Sexton, all of Turlock; brothers, Lloyd V. Willhite of Turlock and Franklin D. Willhite of Oklahoma; and sister, Ethel Casy of Turlock; and 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children Christine Marie Sexton and Jessie Lee Ann Vannest; and one grandson. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Turlock Memorial Park.
