L. Voorhis Past Grand Representative of the jurisdiction of Kansas The Grand Lodge of Oklahoma adopted the following: REPORT NUMBER 67. To the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma: Whereas, on August 19, l913, at Kansas City, Missouri, Past Grand Master A. J. Voorhis of the jurisdiction of Kansas was called to the Grand Lodge above. And whereas, Brother Voorhis was closely identified with the early history of Odd Fellowship both in tile original Indian Territory jurisdiction, and in the original Oklahoma jurisdiction, he being the Special Deputy Grand Sire appointed to institute both of these Grand Bodies, for this reason we feel that it is fitting that the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma, as it now exists, being a consolidation of the two above mentioned jurisdictions should take cognizance of his passing away, and pay a suitable tribute to his memory. Therefore; be it resolved, that the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma in regular session assembled extend to the sister jurisdiction of Kansas our sympathy in the loss of Brother Voorhis. And be it further resolved, that we shall long hold in reverence and esteem the memory of our Brother who was so important a factor in Odd Fellowship in its beginning in what is now the jurisdiction of Oklahoma. And resolved further, that a copy of this resolution be mailed to the Grand Secretary of the jurisdiction of Kansas. Respectfully submitted. Resolution Committee C. L. Lyon, H. B. Callahan, J. E. Wright, A. B. Lampert, "No duty could overtask him, No need his will o'erturn; For e'er our lips could ask him, His hands the work had done,"
