Indian Territory I.O.O.F. Session 1910 Report No. 22 George William Mowbray We, your committee on Resolutions, to whom was referred that portion of the Grand Master's report. entitled "Brother Mowbray," have noticed with much sorrow that during the past year our brother has passed into the Great Beyond. In his death this Grand Body has lost one of its most devout members, active workers and one of the earliest pioneers as well. Brother Mowbray was present at the organization of the Grand Lodge of Indian Territory, and to the best of our recollection has never missed a session since that date until death claimed him. Our brother was appointed Grand Trustee of the Grand Lodge, and served it well and faithfully in every particular, and number of years ago when the funds in the hands of the Grand Treasurer of this jurisdiction were reported short, Brother Mowbray, with great energy and zeal collected every dollar and the interest for the full time that the Grand Lodge was kept our of its funds, and the full amount collected was donated to the Home for its support. Brother Mowbray was appointed on the Home Committee, to build the Home at Checotah, and he was an able and faithful member of the building committee; he gave liberally of his means to help build the Home and also to support it. Our brother was an ardent, Loyal, enthusiastic and consistent supporter of our lodge and all that it stands for; he was a Past Grand Master and Representative to the Sovereign Grand Lodge, Therefore, be it Resolved, That in the death of Brother Mowbray, P.G.M. and P.G.R. this Grand Jurisdiction has lost a beloved brother and a voice full of wisdom has departed from our councils, never to return, and in his absence his brothers mourn. "The way is hard, oh Friend, That reaches out before us: God's tender Heaven above us bends, His love is smiling o'er us." Fraternally Submitted Committee on Resolutions Brown, C. P.
