Jackson County, Oklahoma - Cemeteries: Carmel Cemetery ----------------------------------------------------------------- Compiled by: Ruth Easter O'Bannon Bennett & Patti Murphy O'Bannon USGenWeb Archives. Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------- There are at least 14 rock markers which are either not readable or which have no information on them. There is a lot of black space in the cemetery, but it does not appear that there are graves there. The cemetery is fenced and in relatively good condition. Directions: From Highway 6 west, turn south on Cemetery Road. Go to the next paved road, turn east. Follow this road until it curves back to the south. Instead of going around the curve, follow the road straight ahead. (The paved becomes a dirt road.) Go approximately 1/2 mile on the dirt road. Turn back east and go about 1/2 mile. The cemetery will be on the south side of the road and is off the road about 100 feet.
