Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Azeland Cemetery in Azle, Texas, with Randy Weaks officiating. Services were under the direction of White's Funeral Home. Alexander was survived by a daughter, Jennifer Alexander of Meza, Ariz.; his father, Jim Alexander; his mother, Jerrie Alexander of Anna; a sister, Jackie Pressley of Mansfield; his grandmother, Nita Bullard of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandfather, Burt Alexander of Grand Saline and two uncles, James Boyd and Ronnie Alexander, also of Fort Worth, Texas. Banks Myrra Patricia Banks, 70, of Blair died Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be scheduled Jan 19 Altus Air Force Base Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. She was born July 5, 1930 in Sacramento, Calif. to Leroy T. Jenson and Elisabeth Eley Blevins Jenson. She married Neil E. Banks, Sr. on March 1, 1949 in Los Angeles. She lived in the Los Angeles area for more than 40 years. She worked in for the Los Angeles Unified School District as an office manager for 27 years. She moved from Grass Valley, Calif. to the Blair area in June of 1990. Survivors include her husband, Neil Edward Banks, Sr. of the home in Blair; four children, Neil Edward Banks, Jr. and his wife Donna, Darrell N. Banks and his wife, Shirley all of Altus, Pamela Lynn Hunt and her husband, Alan of Sarasota, Fla. and Christopher A. Hitt of California; two grandchildren, Neil E. Banks III of Highland, Calif. and Melissa M. Banks and John Willsey of Blair; a great-granddaughter, Kyndall Shae Lynn Jordan of Blair; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. Bush Ralph (Dwayne) Bush, 62, of Blair, died Dec. 22, 2000 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Memorial services are pending. Butler Vesta Mae Butler died Friday in Altus. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the Elmer Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 19, 1908 at Elmer to Joseph R. and Mildred Heighton Woolley. She married Lee Roy Butler July 2 , 1929 in the Elmer Methodist Church Parsonage. He died April 11, 1981. She was a life long resident of Elmer and a member of the Elmer Methodist Church since 1927. She was a homemaker and member of the Eastern Star. Survivors three children, Vereda Knight and husband Grover, Terry Butler and wife, Sammie all of Altus and Coy Butler and wife Jeanean of Elmer; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Carroll D. Butler, six sister and three brothers. Cavanaugh George Leo Cavanaugh, 60, died Dec. 2, 2000 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Veterans section of the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. He was born Jan. 20, 1940 in Atlantic, Iowa to George and Mabelle (Anderson) Cavanaugh, Sr. Following graduation from high school in Atlantic he served three and a half years in the National Guard, then joined the U.S. Air Force. He began his military career as an accounting specialist. His tours of duty included North Carolina, England, Vietnam and Germany. He retired at Altus Air Force Base in November of 1979 after 24 years of service. He had obtained the rank of Master Sergeant and was Superintendent of Accounting and Finance at Altus Air Force Base at the time of his retirement. He was a member of the VFW, loved sports and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eddie Cavanaugh. Survivors include his wife Margaret, daughter Lisa, three sons, George Cavanaugh, Armin Gernjak and wife Kim of Oklahoma City, Raimund Gernajak and wife Nicole of Oklahoma City; two sisters Rita Obermeier of Atlantic, Rosalee Ford of Atlantic; a brother Jim Cavanaugh and four grandchildren. Chadwick Ola Chadwick, 92, of Midland,Texas, died Dec. 27, 2000 in her home. Services will be held 1 p.m. Jan. 2, 2001 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial park in the Garden of Love, under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. She was born six miles south of Paducah, Texas on the family farm March 4, 1908 to Emma and Roscoe C. Martin. She and her family moved to Midland in 1958 from Altus. She married H.B. Chadwick Aug. 16, 1936 in Altus. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a loyal supporter of various church activities at the First Baptist Church in Altus and in Midland. She was an active member of the Samuel Department and Rebecca Sunday School class, as well as a member of the Sanctuary Choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters. Survivors include son Daryl Chadwick and wife Deanie of Midland; three brothers, Paul Martin, Roy C. Martin, both of Amarillo, and Burlie Martin of Babbitt, Minn; one sister, Margaret Goodson of La Marada, Ca.; her grandsons Bruce Chadwick of Ft. Derryberry Elbert Audie Derryberry, Jr. died Monday at the Veterans Health Care Facility in Clinton. He attended Washington Elementary School, Altus Junior High School, Altus High School and was inducted in the United States Army during World War II. Duke Lara Alice Duke, 85, longtime Altus resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, in Altus. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. David Chittenden officiating. Interment will follow at the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Duke was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Joy, Texas, the daughter of William W. and Genevary Nevada (Wade) Maddox. She grew up in the Beckham County, Sayre, Doxey area. On Sept. 3, 1938, she and William Duke, Sr. were married at Doxey. They moved to Altus in 1948, from Tracy, Calif. Mr. Duke preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1979. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Duke was preceded in death by one son, William Duke, Jr.; a brother, Austin Maddox and one sister, Thelma Tucker. Elder Peggy JoAnn Elder, 66, a lifelong Altus resident, died Tuesday at Tamarack Retirement Center in Altus after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 1, 1934 in Altus to F.H. (Hoke) and Marie (Watterson) Elder. Her grandparents were southwest Oklahoma pioneers, settling before statehood in Indian Territory in what is now Jackson County. She attended Altus Public Schools and graduated from Altus High School in 1952. She was a bookkeeper at the Badger Oil Company in Altus, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a long time member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ. She was a member of the Cancer Support Group and loved sports. She played tennis and enjoyed walking and bicycling. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, J.R. and Ella Elder and John and Anna Pearl Watterson. Her hobbies including quilting, embroidery work and raising flower gardens. She and her husband lived in Altus for 34 years before moving to Wichita Falls in June of 1985. Harris Pearl Virginia Harris, 62, of Altus, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton. She had lived in Altus since 1958, moving here from Quanah, Texas. On July 26, 1956, in Quanah, she and Jerry Harris were married. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1997. She worked at the Snack Shack in Altus as a prep and set up cook. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Hull-Bercegeay Susan Raynea Hull-Bercegeay, 36, Blair, died Thursday at Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City following a life-long battle with cystic fibrosis. She graduated from Arnett High School in 1984 and was a 1990 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she held a degree in elementary education. She was a member of the Student Education Association, Kappa Delta Pi and was active in the dram department. In 1986 she married Randy Bercegeay of Blair. While her health permitted, she did substitute teaching in several area schools in southwest Oklahoma. She maintained homes in Blair and Optima, Oklahoma. She enjoyed cooking, reading and wood crafting. She was also a strong advocate for cystic fibrosis research. "Sonny" Hunt, 68, Altus, died Monday at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are pending with Kincannon Funeral Home. Jackson Troy Eugene "Geno" Jackson, 74, long time Altus resident, died Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. He was born April 14, 1926 in Greenville, Texas to John A. and Agnes (Sparks) Jackson. He attended school in Mangum and Altus. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy for two years. He then attended barbers college in Oklahoma City. He joined the Army National Guard and served in Korea from 1950 until 1952 when the 45th infantry was activated. He married Camilla Randolph on Sept. 16, 1954 in Altus. He was a barber in Altus for 32 years retiring from Geno's Barber Shop in 1992. He helped organize the Altus Little League program in the early 1950's. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veteran and was on the Altus City Council from 1991 until 1997. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and his family. He was preceded in death by hi parents, four brothers and a sister. He farmed and ranched a number of years before going to work at the Oklahoma State Reformatory and retired as a correctional officer a number of years ago. He enjoyed being in parades and at public events with his team of mules and wagon. He enjoyed traveling, meeting people and sharing his joy. McElroy Delbert McElroy, life time Harmon County resident, passed away Monday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital at the age of 76. He was born Nov. 27, 1924, to Claude Lonzo and Willie Maude (Bradshaw) McElroy in McQueen. He married Mae Elliot Aug. 6, 1949. He was a volunteer firefighter, a member of the Gould City Council, and a member of Gould Church of Christ. He enjoyed dominoes and watching the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University play football. He retired from the automotive industry. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Coy Lee McElroy and Sammuel McElroy Motely Alyne Motley passed away at Harmon County Memorial Hospital. Patterson Greer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Jan. 26, 1910 to Tom and Mollie (Coggins) Motley in Hollis. She graduated from Baylor University with a teaching degree. She taught in Clarksville, Vernon, Corpus Christi and Dallas, Texas. In 1951 she and her sister Maurine opened Town and Country ladies fashion shop. She took a fashion tour to Europe in 1957. They moved the store to Altus in 1958 and purchased the Petite Shop in Altus. They operated those businesses until 1981 when they retired. After her sister's death she moved to Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City where she was a resident until October of 2000. She then moved back to Hollis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Zella Neal, Gladys Caswell and Maurine Motley; two brothers, Garland Forrest Motley; a nephew, J. Porter Neal; two nieces, Peggy Sutton and Jan Carrick. Survivors include a nephew, Tom Motley; four nieces, Charlene Neal Copeland, Monette Caswell Cole, Therol Motley Nell and Marsha Motley Dickinson; sever great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Olivarez Trena Renee Olivarez, 16, Mangum died in an airplane crash Sunday at Norman. Services were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Mangum. The Rev. Bonnie Reed officiated. Burial followed at the Riverside Cemetery and services were under the direction of Greer Funeral Home. She was born in Dalhart, Texas to Thomas R. Olivarez and Lena Fay Gill on June 7, 1984. She lived in Mangum since December of 1989. She was a student in the Mangum school system. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bart Hundley. Survivors include her mother Lena Fay Brown and step-father, Clifford Brown; her father, Thomas R. Olivarez of Texas; sisters, Tiffany and Tasha Olivarez, all of Mangum; Step-sisters Skyler and Abigail and Trinity Olivarez of Texas; step-brothers, Timothy Brown, Christopher Brown and James Palmer; grandparents, Alice Hundley, Burleson, Texas, Troy Gill of Beaver Creek, Texas, Evelyn and Fred Olivarez of Lubbock, Texas; and a nephew, Jordan Olivarez, of Mangum. Parker Robert R. "Bob" Parker, of Quanah, Texas died Wednesday at Plano, Texas Presbyterian Hospital. He was a businessman, rancher and farmer. He was the owner of Oak Ridge Ranch in Quanah. He was the Chief Operations Officer and a member of Directors of Health Plan Services, Inc. in Tampa, Fla. and Columbus, Ohio until his retirement earlier this year. He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Oklahoma in 1956. He also attended graduate programs at Stanford University in Palo Altos, Calif and University of Oklahoma. He was born Jan. 25, 1933 in Olustee, the oldest child of Bryan and Mabel Parker. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sandy Bilbrey Parker, formerly of Olustee; brothers, Bill D. Roach Griffith Gene Roach, 72, former Mangum resident, died Dec. 1, 2000 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. He was born in Mangum on August 19, 1928 to George and Aliene Roach Griffith. He had lived in Mangum for many years before moving to Altus in 1998. On August 14, 1981 he and Fran Castle were married at the First Baptist Church in Carter. He served in the United States Air Force for several years, and was honorably discharged as a sergeant on July 15, 1949. He was self-employed in the carpentry and roofing business for many years until he retired. He enjoyed playing the saxophone and listening to music. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. He was preceded in death by his father George Roach, step-father Luther Nelson, two step-sons Jimmy Caster and Jack Caster. Saenz Moses Saenz, Sr., 66, died Dec. 30, 2000 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Jan. 2, 2001 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Paul Gloria officiating. Scoggin Dr. E.B. Scoggin died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at his home. Funeral services were held yesterday in Bogalusa, La. Scoggin was born to Fred and Evelyn Scoggin of Altus. They preceded him death. Dr. Scoggin served the Bogalusa, La., area as a physician in the practice of family medicine and general surgery for more than 35 years. He was graduated with honors from Oklahoma University and Oklahoma University Medical School. He served his medical internship and residency at the Maricopa County General Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., where he received the Douglas C. Terpe Outstanding Intern Award. He practiced medicine in Bogalusa from 1964 until his death, except for a two year period from 1960 - 1970, when he served in the Army in the rank of Major. He received the Army Commendation Medal for his exemplary service as a brigade surgeon. He practiced as a board certified Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. Scoggin was a member of Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church where he served as a past Vestry member. He served on the board of directors of Parish National Bank as trustee emeritus. He was a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Washington Parish Medical Society, the American Medical Association and was a staff member at the Bogalusa Community Medical Center. He was licensed to practice medicine in the states of Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arizona. In 1987, he received the Physician's Recognition Award from the American Medical Association. Survivors include: his wife, Melb Dillon Scoggin; one daughter, Susan Malone of Mandeville, La.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Dru Scoggin of Slidell, La. and Steven (Skip) and Kim Scoggin of Mandeville, La. and four grandchildren, Amy Wethey, Christen Wethey, Sean Scoggin and Lily Bea Scoggin. Sewell Gorman Hector Sewell, 97, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at his home in Granite. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. today at the Lake Creek Baptist Church. Sewell was born Oct. 8, 1903, in Tennessee to G.A. and Delilah Elizabeth Ann (Howard) Sewell. He graduated from eighth grade at Tepe School. He moved to Lake Creek in 1926, where he farmed for 33 years. He ranched and lived on the same farm for more than 75 years. He married Sibyl Gorman on March 11, 1923, at the Tepe Church. She preceded him in death in November of 1982. He was a member of Lake Creek Baptist Church. Sewell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Sibyl; one son, Junior Sewell and two great grandsons. Survivors include: one son, Glen Sewell and his wife Agnes of Granite; one daughter, Edna Cowley of Altus; daughter-in-law, Ruth Sewell of Mangum; one sister, Hallie Hokett of Altus; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Creek Baptist Church. Sexton Mildred Sexton, 84, Hollis, passed away Friday at Harmon County Memorial Hospital. Burial will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service of Hollis. She was born March 31,. 1916 to James Robert and Daisy Stout McCutcheon in Harmon County. She lived all of her life in Harmon County. She married Clifford Eugene Sexton on Aug. 3, 1940 in Hollis She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Tarpley and her husband, Junior of Hollis, Kay Moore and husband, Stephen of Lexington; a son Billy Sexton of Jacksonville, Fla; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Josephine Sexton of Hollis; a brother-in-law, Jeff Ellis of Tucumcari, N.M. and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford in 1981; her parents; eight brothers, and two sisters. Snodgrass Kren Ella (Eccles) Snodgrass died Tuesday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She attended school at Prairie Hill and Victory, and graduated from Duke High School in 1960 where she was active in 4-H and basketball. She attended Western Oklahoma State College where she studied accounting. For 28 years she operated a business office with H&R Block in Altus and Frederick. She was instrumental in organizing the 4-H Club at Southside School in 1973. She was a member of the 4-H State Leaders Committee and was named Jackson County 4-H Alum of the Year. She owned and operated Kren's Kreative Krafts. She was Baptist. Her hobbies included arts and crafts and sewing. She married Wayne Snodgrass Nov. 26, 1960 at Prairie Hill. They established their home in Humphreys where they lived for 40 years. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Snodgrass of Humphreys; two children, Sandra Cusher and Edward Snodgrass both of Humphreys; a mother, Pauline Eccles, Heber Springs, Ark.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonetta and Clifton Rutan, Heber Springs, Ark. and Dianna and Bob Schwarz of Little Rock, Ark.; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard Gene and Teresa Eccles of Little Rock; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Louise Snodgrass of Altus, James Ray (Bud) and Olivia Snodgrass of Hement, Calif., Ernesteen and Doug Dalton of Altus and Peggy and Norman Terrel of Norman; two grandchildren, Alan Snodgrass, of Altus and Kimberly Cusher of Humphreys; and two uncles. Stroud, 57, of Amarillo, Texas, died Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. Services were held today at the Bell Avenue Chapel of Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors. He married Janell Jones Jan. 22, 1967 at Eldorado. They moved to Amarillo in 1972 from Oklahoma City. He was a partner in Andrews Transport Terminal. Survivors include his wife, Janell, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Melissa Stroud of Amarillo; his mother, Denise Stroud of Eldorado; a sister, Mary Avant of Tulia, Texas; two grandchildren, Toby and Bailey Stroud of Amarillo; many nieces and nephews. Thaggard John Thaggard, 52, died Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Altus with the Rev. He was born Sept. 7, 1948 in Enid to Clifford C. and Lottie Marhee (Word) Thaggard. He had been a resident of Jackson County since 1950. He married his wife Kay, March 29, 1969 at the First Baptist Church of Altus. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in electronics technology. He worked for Dresser-Atlas Oil company for many years. He also farmed and was x-ray technician at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for several years. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus and was president of the Oklahoma Society of Radiologic Technologists last year and chairman of the board for the society this year. Survivors include his wife, Kay Thaggard of the home in Blair; his mother, Lottie Thaggard of Altus; children, Michael Wayne Thaggard and Amber Thaggard of Altus and Johnna Michell Thaggard; four grandchildren, McKinley Thaggard of Blair, Ethan Thaggard, Parker Thaggard and Hayden Thaggard all of Altus; one aunt, Estelle Shepherd of Muskogee. Weber Melba Iliene Weber, 80, died Dec. 2, 2000 in Altus. Funeral services will be Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Okeene with Rev. D. Burchfiel and Rev. Kevin Kellog officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Okeene. Weber was born August 5, 1920 at Loyal, the daughter of Carl and Mary Ferris Hoskins. She attended schools at Loyal and Okeene. On Feb. 5, 1938 she and Alvin Weber were married at Shawnee. She worked as a grocery store clerk, then for Okeene Telephone Company which later became Pioneer Telephone Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and active in WMU and Home Demonstration Club. After her retirement, she spent her time fishing, bowling and crocheting. She was an outstanding seamstress and cook. She made each child, grandchild and great grandchild an afghan. She had spent her entire lifetime living in the Loyal-Okeene area. Survivors include two sons, Richard and wife Chulee Weber of Piedmont and Larry and Dee Ann Weber of Pauls Valley; one daughter, Colleen Wakeman of Altus; three brothers, Leonard Hoskins of Lahoma, Don Hoskins of Keene, Texas and Raymond Hoskins of Arnett; one sister, Helen Hoskins of Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Robert, son-in-law Deryl Wakeman, great granddaughter Jamie Bennight and five sisters. The casket will be open at the funeral home until 7 p.m. today and open before the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. He was born July 8, 1930 at Eldorado to Luther Henry and Mary Evlyn Turvaville. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After he returned to Eldorado, he farmed. He was active in the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks Club, and the Australian Shepherd Club and was a member of the Crossroads Church of Altus. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Survivors include daughter Rebecca Gee of Fairfield, California; stepdaughter Julie Strobe of Concord, California; stepson Kevin Hull of Concord; two brothers Donald Wefer of Eldorado and Roy Edward Wefer of Childress, Texas; sister Joyce Anilee Buck of Childress; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He will lie in state at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Eldorado until 8 p.m. today, and then will lie in state at the Crossroads Church of Altus, located west of Altus, from noon Jan. 2 until service time. Welch Ida Lera Welch, 92, formerly of Gould died Monday at Midwest City. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stewart Funeral Home Chapel in Hollis with the Rev. Ralph Chapman officiating. Burial will be at the Gould Cemetery. She was born May 5, 1908 in Gould to Fred and Nannie Prior James. She married Willard "W.T." Welch, May 1, 1926 in Mangum. They lived in Gould all their life and were members of the First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school for many years. She was well known for her crocheting, sewing and how she helped people in the community. Survivors include a son, Col. Jerry Welch of Midwest City and his wife, Marlene; seven grandchildren, Deon Jenkins of Yukon, Neal Welch of Lamesa, Texas, Denise Terbush of Austin, Texas, Michel Welch of Texas, Keith Welch of Tulsa, Linda Jenkins of Plano, Texas, and Dr. Michelle Decker of Oklahoma City; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Yarbrough Joyce Wardene Yarbrough, 71, formerly of Blair, died Monday at her home in Concrete, Wash. Services will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Concrete. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete. A reception will follow at the American Legion Post 132 in Concrete. She was born Nov. 10, 1929 in Oklahoma City to Ward and Georgia Morris Saulsbury, She was a resident of Concrete for the past 10 years. She moved to Concrete from Blair. She was active in the American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Eagles and 8 & 40 in Concrete and was involved with the Spirit 2000 Youth Retreat. Her hobbies were reading, rock hounding and raising flowers. She married Richard Yarbrough in New Mexico in 1946 and he died Dec. 8, 1993.
