Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Martha Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Turvaville officiating. Interment will follow at the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 15, 1911 to George F. Ledbetter and Sarah Odessa Penn. She married Marion W. Brown on Dec. 17, 1927 in Altus. She was a lifelong resident of Martha. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by a son, Lynn Brown and his wife, Janean, of Altus and Kerry Brown and wife, Melissa, of Altus; four great-grandchildren, Shelley Walker and husband, Michael of Edmond, Ronnie Samson and wife, Monica, of Encintas, Calif., Amber Brown of Altus and Michael Brown of Altus; two great-great-grandchildren, Braden Walker and Alexa Walker, both of Edmond. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marion, a sister, Chalton Tinney; a brother, Raymond Ledbetter, a half-brother, Rad Ledbetter; infant grandsons, Michael Shane and David Brown; a niece, nephew and cousins. The family will greet friends tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Kline Cleo J. Kline, former Altus resident died at Elkview Hospital in Hobart Monday. Funeral services are pending at Kincannon Funeral Home. JAN. 2, 20O2: Coe A.J. Coe, 76, long time resident of Altus, passed away Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services were held Wednesday at Kincannon Funeral Chapel, with Brother Johnny Tims officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. He was born July 11, 1925, at Elmer to Thomas Marion and Auddie Maybelle (Copeland) Coe. He resided in the Elmer/Altus area his entire life. He married Era Evadna (Vad) Thrash on Oct. 23, 1945 in Vernon, Texas. They were married for 49 years. Born to this union were two sons, Eddie Jay and Rodney Edward. He was a truck driver for many years until becoming a farm laborer for several farmers including Tommy Beach, Elmer, Wayne Winsett, Altus and Larry Bradley, Olustee. Survivors include his son, Eddie and wife, Dianne of Tipton; grandchildren, Kelly (Coe) and Todd Lindsey of Newalla, Bryan Coe, Tipton; two great-grandchildren, Kyle Evan Coe and Taryn Kelli Lindsey; two brothers, Robert James (Chub) Coe, and Robert Lee (Doc) Coe both of Altus; a sister, Janette and David Sirmons of Blair; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, wife, five brothers, Jack, Raymond, Curtis, Eugene, and Dean; three sisters, Mary Vela, Maybelle and Odessa. Cuellar Mario Cuellar, also known as David Guerra died Tuesday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are pending at Kincannon Funeral Home. Edwards Emma Earl Edwards, 92, Hollis, died Monday at home. FUneral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stewart Funeral Chapel in Hollis with the Rev. James Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow at McKnight Cemetery. She was born Sept. 10, 1909 to S.I. and Minnie Arnold She lived in Hollis for 75 years and was a Baptist. She loved to dance, cook, work puzzles and take care of her grandchildren. Inman Algia Deloris Inman, 63, passed away Monday at Mangum City Hospital. Services will be noon Wednesday a the Greer Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Michael Moon. will officiate. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Mangum. She was born Dec. 16, 1938 to Marvin Gladbeck and Nora Marie Beaver-Hise in Mangum. She was a lifelong resident of Mangum and attended the Assembly of God Church. She was a housewife and homemaker enjoyed reading and country music. She was preceded in death by her father, a son, Lloyd Wane Inman, grandson, Richard Don Reynolds, and her husband, Richard Sam Inman. She is survived by her three children, Sue Richardson of Wellston, Bonnie Marie Damron of Mangum and William Dale Inman of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Kline Cleo Jewel Kline, 80, former Altus resident, died Monday at Elkview Hospital in Hobart, Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel with Rod Smith officiating. Interment will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born Feb. 18, 1921 in Altus to Cosmer and Irene (Queen) Calhoun. She attended Altus schools and graduated from Altus High School in 1938. She married Leonard K. Kline March 25, 1940 in Lawton. She helped manage the family dairy southwest of Altus for several years until 1958 when the family moved to town. She was the head cook at Roosevelt Elementary School for many years, worked as a cashier at Surplus City and was a housekeeper at Billeting on Altus Air Force Base before she retired. She was member of the First Baptist Church in Altus and the Woodmen of the World. She enjoyed yard work, growing flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Karen Ann Bailey; a son, Leonard F. Kline, Jr.; a granddaughter, Lorie Ann Mayberry; a grandson, Matthew Lynn Kline; two brothers, Winston and Clarence Calhoun and a sister, Viola Calhoun. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mickie and Mike Schmidt, Hobart and Patty Harless of Chandler; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Vickie Kline of Hobart; two sisters-in-law, Norma Shirley, Wayne and Agnes Calhoun, Granite; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. JAN. 3, 2002: Cuellar Funeral services and burial in Mexico is pending for Mario Cuellar who died Monday in Altus. Kincannon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born may 9, 1976 in Vaqaries, Jalisco, Mexico to Carmen and Ramona (Reyes) Cuellar. He attended school in Vaqaries, Mexico. He was a farm laborer and of the christian faith. He was a Mexican National seeking citizenship in the United States. He is survived by his parents and six sisters, Gabriela Arrezola, Carmen Figueroa, Cecilia Lujan, Lorena, Noelia and Susan Cuellar. Sullivan Ola Mae (Curley), 88, of Friendship, passed away on Monday. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus with interment following at the Altus Cemetery. She was born in Lugert on Feb. 21, 1913 to Jim and Ida Morgan. She attended school at Lugert which is now at the bottom of Lake Altus and she attended at Mt. Teepee Baptist Church. Later on she was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She married Clois Sullivan in 1933. From this union, six children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clois, and sons Everett and Clarence, her parents and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her suns, Glenn Sullivan and wife, Joy of Norma, John Sullivan and wife, Stephanie of Norman, Clois Sullivan of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Jerry Kay Gore and husband, Mike of Choctaw; a daughter-in-law, Joy Marie Sullivan of Altus; granddaughters,, Nancy Moore of Ponca City, Shannon Friesen of Rowlett, Texas, and Megan Sullivan of Fort Worth; grandson, Glenn Sullivan II of Norman, Kenny Sullivan of Norman, Michael Lee Sullivan of Altus, John Hal Sullivan of Altus, Sean Sullivan of Pewaukee, Wis., Chris Gore of Choctaw and Todd Gore of Altus and eight great-grandchildren. For many years she farmed along with her husband, Clois and their sons. She was an avid sports fan. She always attended sporting events her children was involved in at the Friendship school. She kept her own score book. She was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. Her other hobbies including cooking for her family. She was also a cook at Eddie Fisher's Baseball Camp. The family will hold visitation at the funeral home on from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wilson C.M. Wilson, 81, Eldorado, died Monday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Quanah, Texas with Randy Braker officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Resthaven Cemetery in Midland, Texas. He was born June 22, 1920 in Eldorado to Boss and Arizona (Chester) Wilson. He married Freddie Jean Wells on June 2, 1941 in Eldorado. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past summer. The Wilsons moved to Wichita, Kan. in 1942 when he worked in the Cessna Aircraft Plant. In 1944 they moved to Midland, Texas where he farmed and did carpentry work. They moved back to Eldorado in 1960 where he was engaged in farming before becoming a thoroughbred horse trainer. For many years, the Wilson family made the racing circuit in the eastern United States, racing horses, which they bought and raised. He was often the leading trainer and had many horses that set track records. The family spent the winter months in Eldorado on their farm. Due to poor health, he retired in 1994. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Clonts and grandson, Tommy Lee Husley. Survivors include his wife, Freddie Jean Wilson of Eldorado; three daughters, Betty Jean Braker, Eldorado, Rebecca Ann Gordon of Indiahoma, Debbie Lynn Husley, Biloxi, Miss.; two sons, Billy Mac Wilson, Charlestown, W. Va. and Randy Gene Wilson of Loris, S.C.; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. JAN. 6, 2002: Kirby E.R. (Red) Kirby, Lawton, formerly of Altus, died Friday night. Services are pending in Lawton. JAN. 7, 2002: Glendenning Terry Glendenning, 54, Altus, died Sunday at his home. Funeral services are pending with Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf. Guss Mattie E. Guss, 86, Altus, died Sunday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are pending with Kincannon Funeral Home. Romines Geraldine Romines, 70, died Sunday at English Village Nursing Home. Funeral services are pending with Kincannon Funeral Home. Kirby Funeral services for E.T. (Red) Kirby, 73, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Lawton with Dr. Wilford Wisel, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Garber officiating. He died Friday at his residence. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 28, 1928 in Victory, Texas, to Leonard and Ruby Kirby. He married Colleen Sommers on April 12, 1952 in Vernon, Texas. He grew up in Victory and graduated from high school there. He later attended college in Weatherford. He served in the United States Army in the 1950's. He worked as a brick and building materials sales representative with Mangum Brick Company and Republic Gypsum (American Gypsum). He was a Lawton City Councilman and served on the Lawton City Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission and the Lawton Home Builders Association. He was past chairman of the Lawton Home Show, past president of the Cameron Booster Club, Elks Lodge and an Eisenhower Eagle Booster Club member. He coached little league sports for many years and was a basketball referee for many years. He was also a member of the Cameron Baptist Church. Survivors include three children, Robin Hardy, Jill Kirby both of Lawton and Pat Kirby and wife Melissa of Waxahachie, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Bonnie Kirby of Duke and J.W. and Marilyn Kirby of Wichita, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Darlene and Major McClure of Tahlequah and Linda and Don Waldrop of Cordell; grandchildren Kristy Huskey and husband Butch, Matt Hardy, Jennifer Hardy and Spencer Braggs; a special family friend, Carlen Young of Germany; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was born March 30, 1945 in Hollis to Thurman and Burnie Haragan Crownover. She attended Dodson High School and spent her entire life in Hollis. She was a secretary for the Hollis Church of Christ. She married Dean Crenshaw April 7, 1978 in Hollis. She is survived by her husband, Dean Crenshaw of the home; a son, W.J. of Hollis; a daughter, Dede Cizek and husband Rick of Alamogordo, N.M.; mother Burnie Crownover of Hollis; a brother Ted Crownover and wife Dephena of Amarillo, Texas and five grandchildren, Summer, Ricky and Cole Cizek of Alomogordo and B.J. and Jacob Hudspeth, both of Mangum. He was born Feb. 2, 1947 in Altus to Jeremy Lester and Virginia (Thomas) Glendenning. He was a truck driver and enjoyed casinos and traveling. Interment will follow at the Warren Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 28, 1915 in Sebastian County, Ark., to Joe and Ava (Oliver) McConnell. She graduated from Greenwood High School in Greenwood, Ark. She married Roy Stewart in 1932 in Greenwood, Ark. He died July 5, 1955. She married Marshall Guss in 1956, who preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1995. In her early years, she was busy rearing a family and taking care of the home. Later, she was involved in missionary work with her husband, Pastor Marshall Guss. Together, they moved to Hobbs, N.M. where he pastored a church until 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus and the Altus Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her friends and family during retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands and one sister, Mary Ann Rambo. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Warren Stewart and his wife Beatrice, Newport News, Va.; David Stewart and his wife Kay of Altus; a sister, Nell Schuler, Van Buren, Ark. four grandchildren, Daniel Strewart and his wife Bonnie, Karen Stewart all of Newport News, Va., Robert Stewart and his wife Dawn, Leetonia, Ohio; Beth Black and her husband Jared, Altus. She was born Jan. 9, 1931 in Earlsboro to Carl and Addie Bell (Howard) Blackburn. She married Mackie Romines Aug. 20, 1951 in Kingsberg, Calif. She was a lifelong Altus resident and a member of the Untied Pentecostal Church. She worked at L.I. Ola's and Crown Fashions for more than 25 years. She enjoyed working with people and she was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Danette Romines of Sherwood, Ore., and David and Rhonda Romines, Big Lake, Minn.; a brother, Earl Blackburn, Altus; two sisters, Cleda Romines of Las Vegas, Nev. and Glenda Bower; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many friends. White Ruby Lucille White, 94, passed away at Purcell Municipal Hospital in Purcell on Sunday. Services were held today at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wendell F. Harris officiating. Interment followed at the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. She was born July 20, 1907 in Union County, New Albany, Miss. to Leonard Lawrence Lindsey and Hattie Velma (Kelley) Lindsey. She married Ralph V. White, Feb. 22, 1924. They moved to Frederick Nov. 4, 1924. To this union five children were born, James White, Donald White, Wayne White, Charles White and Joe White. She lived at Warren and Friendship. She and her husband made their home in Altus for about 40 years. She moved to Frederick in 1991 to be with her sisters, Margaret Jordon and Aline Kinney and her brother, Lee Hoyt Lindsey. She moved to the Wadley Care Center in Purcell on Nov. 19, 1999 where she lived for two years and one month. She was a homemaker, a gardener and enjoyed cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph; sons Joe Wayne and James; sisters Vermel Marshall, Lillian Stewart, Aline Harris Kinney and Margaret Jordon; a brother, Olan Lindsey and infant brother who died at birth. She is survived by two sons, Donald and Charles; four brothers, Bill Lindsey of Brownsfield, Texas, Lee Hoyt Lindsey of Frederick, Lewis Lindsey of Paradise, Calif. and Fred Lindsey of Phoenix, Ariz; five sisters, Virginia Hayes of Sedgwick, Kan., Toie Wright and Peggy Rollins of Wichita, Kan. , Jackie Worden of Pueblo, Colo. and Bobby Jean Brown of Marble Falls, Texas.; three daughters-in-law, LaJune White of Altus, Millie White Morris of Altus and Helen White Herman of Yukon; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives as well as many friends. JAN. 9, 2002: Cook Minnie Mae Cook, 70, died Monday at her home in Mangum after a long illness. Graveside services were held today at the Roselawn Cemetery in Mangum. T.J. Willingham officiated. Arrangements are with Greer Funeral Home. She was born in Tupelo to Benjamin Luther and Kate (George) Swaffar. She married James F. Cook on Oct. 7, 1947 in Bakersfield, Calif. They made their home in Bakersfield. She worked to rear her family and was a co-owner of a housekeeping business. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1992. She was also a waitress. She belonged to the Assembly of Jesus Christ Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a grandson, Joseph Michael Cook. She was survived by her husband, James Cook of the home in Mangum; three sons, Mike Cook and his wife Debbie of Mangum, Dan Cook and his wife Gina of Garden Grove, Calif. and Steve Cook , also of Mangum; a daughter, Kelly Falkner, and her husband Vernon of Mangum; a brother and six sisters, Faye Huddleston of Los Angeles, Ruby Kennedy of Ridge Crest, Calif., June Wright of Ada, Ramona Joe Harrell of Arizona, Sissy Skipper of Ada, Sonny Swaffer of Topaz, Calif. and Sandra Hoffield of Ada; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Jackman Mary Ruth Jackman, 75, Amarillo, Texas, died Monday. Services were held today at the Memory of Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Alan Abraham, interim minister of First Christian Church, officiating. Entombment will be at the Memory of Gardens Mausoleum by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Home in Amarillo. She was born Dec. 16, 1925 in Elmer. She married Richard Jackman in 1947 in Altus. She graduated from Southside High School and from West Texas State University in 1979. She was managing owner of Jackman Enterprises. She worked for Amarillo Schools in administration, taught at Travis Middle School and retired from the school district. She served as president of Amarillo Classroom Teachers in 1974 and 1975 and was an active member of the National Education Association. She served on Amarillo Parks and Recreation Commission and was active in ACDL and Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Jackman of Amarillo and a grandson, Robert Jackman-Gordon of Amarillo. JAN. 10: Daniel Norman Glen Daniel, 65, former Altus resident, died Monday in Lubbock, Texas. Daniel and Willie Marie (Newman) Daniel. Norman had lived in Lubbock since 1958. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lubbock. He is survived by one brother, Donald Daniel and his wife Dorothy of Terlton; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one aunt, Audie Lee James. Howell Alfred H. Howell, Jr., 86, died Monday. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Greer Funeral Home of Mangum is in charge of arrangements. He was a resident of the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Clinton. At the time of his death he was in Integris Health Clinton Regional Hospital. He was born on June 4, 1915 in Nacona, Texas to Alfred and Arduary (Campbell) Howell. He was a veteran and resided in the Oklahoma Veterans Center since May of 1995. Herring Leona Herring, 87, Altus, died Thursday. Graveside services were held this afternoon at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. She was a volunteer at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for many years until her recent retirement due to failing health. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Herring, who was a retired Altus fireman. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edwin D. and Ora B. Cox; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many friends. Satchell Spencer K. Satchell, 95, died Jan. 4 in Lawton. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Altus City Cemetery with Elder Brian O'Hair officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. He was born July 10, 1906 in Waco, Texas to Carry and Spencer Satchell, Sr.. He married Angeline (Young) Satchell at Duke on Aug. 7, 1977. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife, Anna Jewell Satchell, a daughter, Nila J. Murphy, and one son, Spencer K. Satchel II. Survivors include his wife Angeline Satchell of Altus; six sons, Hugh Edward Young, Chris Anthony Young, Timothy Shawn Young, Clarence Satchell, Darrell Satchell and Anthony Thomas Satchell; 10 daughters, Clarice Houston, Denise Swanke, Dianna Brown, Annette Satchell, Sammi Scott, Carolyn Satchell, Sheryl Hairston, Pamela Hiers, Sonya Bailey, Carla Satchell, 40 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. Moreau Joyce Lee Moreau, 80, longtime Jackson County resident passed away Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 20, 1921, in Altus to Ernest Francis and Grace (Hogan) Francis. She married Roger Moreau on Aug. 17, 1946 at the First United Methodist Church in Altus. She was very active with the PTA while her children were in school and also worked for the election board in Altus for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. They farmed in the Otter Creek and Snyder areas. She was a homemaker. After retiring from farming in 1970, she moved to Snyder where she became very active in the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Home Cheer Extension Club and the Snyder Iris Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Charles (Frankie): a sister, Vivian Reser; and four brothers, Charlie, Clyde, Claude and Archie Pike. Hughes Ethel Mae Hughes, 96, died Sunday at Mangum City Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of Jesus Christ Church in Mangum. Officiating will be the Rev. Jan Ivan Oden, the Rev. J.V. Oden and Pastor Mildred Gable. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Mangum. Arrangements are with Greer Funeral Home of Mangum. She was born on Dec. 19, 1905 in Hammon to James (Jimmy) Ivan and Etmer Ellen (Taylor) Oden. She lived 86 years in Mangum. In 1922 she married Frank Hughes in Wellington, Texas. They made their home in Mangum. She was a homemaker and did a lot of baby-sitting. She was a member of the Assembly of Jesus Christ Church andenjoyed crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Buchanan of Mangum, Rhonda Mae Norton and husband Dub of Pampa, Texas; a son, Farrell Hughes of Mangum; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Oden and J.V. Sanchez Ricky Sanchez, 39, Altus, died Monday at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton. A prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday with the funeral mass set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, both at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Graveside committal will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. He was born May 31, 1962 in Altus to Estban Sr. and Elsie (Jiminez) Sanchez. He attended Altus Public Schools. He worked for many years with his brothers in the construction business as a carpenter with Sanchez Home Improvement. He enjoyed Spanish and Country music, dancing, spending time with his dog Sissy and his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Estban Sanchez, Sr.; three brothers, Gilbert Sanchez, Pedro (Pete) Sanchez and Jose Sanchez, and one sister, Estella Sanchez. He is survived by his mother Elsie J. Taylor Earl Melton Taylor, 87, Altus, died Jan. 20, 2002 at Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Kincannon Funeral Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 5, 1914 in the Kiamichi Mountains near Antlers. He was the youngest of ten children born to Sidney J. Taylor and Elva M. (West) Taylor. The family moved to the Bokchito area when he was very young. He was reared on a farm and attended school at Bokchito and Bennington and graduated from Bennington High School. He married Lucille Dalton on Jan. 12, 1935 in Durant. To this union, two sons were born. He continued to work as a farmer and a dairyman and later did carpentry work. The family loved working and being together on the farm. They enjoyed fishing, hunting and other activities in the community. He served as an elder at the Bokchito Church of Christ for many years before retiring. He moved to Altus in October 1993 to be closer to his family. He joined the Thomas Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Earl Melton Taylor, Jr.; and allnine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Lucille of the home; son Bobby and wife Carla, Altus; daughter-in-law Linda Taylor Barns and husband Darrel of Springfield, Mo; seven grandchildren, Scott Taylor and wife Eva, Steven Taylor and wife Rachell, and Sean Taylor, all of Spriingfield, Mo., Joyce Gastineau and husband Russel of Taloga, Marsha Alexander and husband Robert of Duke, Kyle Eshleman of Greely, Co., and Todd Eshelman of Altus; six great grandchildren, Jessica, Chriatian and Trey Taylor, Justin and R.J. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Whelan David Lee Whelan, 59, McLoud, died Jan. 14, 2002 in his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 8,1942 in Weatherford, Texas to Walter and Leah (Bradley) Whelan. His family moved to Stillwater in 1949 to run the family business, Bradley Plumbing. After graduating from Stillwater High School, he served in the United States Marines from August 1959 until January 1962. He returned home and began his own carpentry business. He later moved to McLoud where he lived until his death. He worked for the United Oklahoma Carpenters Union until his retirement in 2000, and he was a member of the Church of Christ in Stillwater. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Whelan. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gene Bryce of Altus; three grandchildren, Gene David, Kelly and Heather Bryce, all of Altus. His services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Altus with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Hardy LaRue was born Nov. 5, 1924 in San Leon, Texas to W. P. and Ettna (Hankins) LaRue. He joined the Air Force during World War II and served his country for over 23 years. While stationed in Mississippi, he met and married Flora Byrd on Aug. 25, 1951. They were stationed in Florida, Texas and Illinois before settling in Oklahoma in the 1950s. They resided in the Burns Flat and Dill City area until 1966 when they moved to Altus where they were finally able to put down roots. Hardy was a member of the Western Sam's Traveling Club. He was outreach leader for the Fellowship Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and dominoes. He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Flora LaRue of Altus; children, Doris and Jeff Frederick of Ada, Bill and Carman LaRue of Wichita, Kan. and David and Susan LaRue of Owasso; his brother Pat LaRue and wife Doris of Brookhaven, Miss. His is further survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Chris and Diana Frederick, Matthew and Elizabeth of Ardmore, Jami and Shane LaRue of Wichita, Kan. and Andy and Ben LaRue of Owasso. Neel Mary Neel, 78, died Tuesday at her residence in Reinzi, Miss. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Reinzi. She was a longtime resident of Altus until her husband, Cecil W. Neel died on July 1, 1998. She then moved to Rienzi to be with her daughter and son-in-law, Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Easter and Bobby E.
