Services are pending with Kincannon Funeral Home. Benedict Kathryn "Kay" Ann Benedict, 62, Duncan, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000. A rosary service is set for 7 p.m. today at Assumption Catholic Church with Father John Vrana officiating. Burial will be at Duncan City Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Benedict was born Aug. 2, 1937, in New York, to Jack and Bea Slavin Ratigan. She was a retired daycare provider. She was a member of the Duncan Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Altar Society and taught swimming for the American Red Cross for 25 years. She married C.W. Benedict on June 9, 1954, at Columbus, Ga. She is survived by: her husband, C.W. Benedict of the home; two daughters, Vickie Tidwell and Teresa Fleetwood, both of Duncan and a son, Rick Benedict, also of Duncan. She is also survived by a brother, Donald Ratigan of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Patty Conroy of Las Cruces, N.M., Lynn Smith of Newman, Ga., Margie Banister of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Toomer of Washington, D.C. and Nancy Ratigan of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Josh DeFour, Andrea Hasenmyer, Joe Byford, Kyle Fleetwood and Adam Fleetwood. Byrd James Robin Byrd, 77, Elverta, Calif., died May 22, 2000. He was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Olustee. He graduated from Lincoln School, near Eldorado, and attended Altus Junior College. He married Elsie Leona Coke on Nov. 3, 1941, in Wichita, Kan., where he worked building aircraft before entering the Air Force in 1942, as an aviation cadet. He served in the European and African theaters for three years. He was honorably discharged in December of 1945. He had been a resident of the Sacramento area for 29 years, where he owned and operated a transmission business. Before moving to Cain, he farmed and operated a transmission shop in Altus. Byrd was preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Lynn; parents, James Francis and Julia Irene (Cole) Byrd and sisters, Frances Pape and Gwen Barfelz. Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Elsie; a son, James Coke Byrd and his wife Peisha of Troy, Mich. and three daughters, Elaine Wheeler and husband Archie of Hinton, Carole Adams and husband Fred and Susan Reaney and husband Gregg from the Sacramento area. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Emily Acton and husband Jim, Lucille Lewis, Lavinia Herring and Lorene Herring and husband Rod; brothers-in-law Dick Pape, Gale Barfelz and Troy Coke and wife Ima; sisters-in-law, Viola Brownlow and Velma Coke. Cameron Funeral services for Floyd E. Cameron, 87, Frederick, were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Truman Ferguson officiating. Burial was at Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Cameron died Friday, June 9, 2000, in the Frederick Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 17, 1912, in White Flat, to Robert and Eva (Johnson) Cameron. He attended Altus Public Schools, graduating in 1931. He was a veteran of the Navy, having been stationed at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, Calif. On Oct. 22, 1933, he and Juanita McKinnell were married at Mangum. They came to Frederick in 1934. He owned and operated Cameron Insurance Agency for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, where he had served as elder, deacon and treasurer. He was also a member of the Frederick Lions Club, Frederick Golf and Country Club, Chamber of Commerce and had served as trustee of the Burkhardt Memorial Trust, which oversees the chapel in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery. Cameron was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, C.W., Troy and Earl Cameron and one sister, Ella Mae Crawford. Survivors include: his wife Juanita of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Doni Cameron of Fort Collins, Colo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Dennis Zaderaka of Wheaton, Ill.; two sisters, Rubye Robinson of Vernon, Texas, and Margie Johns of Dallas; four grandchildren, Stephen P. Cameron of Enid, Julie Weingardt of Loveland, Colo., Nicole and Brittany Zaderaka, both of Wheaton and two great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in memory of Floyd E. Cameron. Chenault William Lonnie Chenault, 74, died at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Monday after a lengthy illness. Burial will follow at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church and a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge of Eldorado for 19 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mattie Chenault and a brother, Louis Chenault. Coppock Roy Coppock, Altus, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, at the age of 85. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. today at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Sonny Tims will officiate. Coppock was born July 31, 1914, in Idabell, to Henry and Elizabeth (Dugan) Coppock. He married Addie Mable Willett on Jan. 2, 1936, in Hope, Ark. The couple had two children, Herman and Mary. His wife preceded him in death on June 11, 1994. He married Anne McGill on July 18, 1997, in Altus. He moved from Fort Morgan, Colo., to Altus in 1976. He worked for Gifford Hill Western as a pipe machine operator for more than 35 years and retired as foreman for the company in 1976. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Abernathy, Texas. He enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center in Altus. Davis Mary Emma Davis, 91, Grove, former Warren resident, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at the Grove Nursing Center. Davis was born at home on the family farm on Sept. 28, 1908, in Southern Home, Ark., to George W. and Sarah Ann (Ladd) Price. When she was three-months-old, her family moved to Kiowa County and settled in the Koonkazachey School district. She attended school there for eight years and graduated from Hobart High School in 1926. She married Dennis T. Davis on July 3, 1926, in Hobart. He preceded her in death in 1981. She moved to Warren in 1977. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Dennis, two infant grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include: one son, Stanley T. Davis of Grove; one daughter, Peggy Cowart of Warren; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gamble Joe Allen Gamble, Jr., 28, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Granite with the Rev. Tim Montgomery and Chaplin Ron Roskam officiating. Interment will follow at Granite City Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home. Allen was born in Dallas, Texas, on July 4, 1971, to Joe Allen, Sr. and Sandra (Brown) Gamble. After graduation from high school, he worked for Treasure Job Corp as a firefighter, then joining the Air Force. He met his wife Sherri in Altus, while stationed there. They married in 1996 in Altus. He was a corrections officer for the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite. He began working there in 1997. He enjoyed fishing and roughhousing with his children. Gamble was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Sherri; sons Denny, Jared, Danny and Johnny Joe Gamble, of the home in Granite and his mother, Sandra Gamble. Garvin Opal Garvin died Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with the Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. She was born Sept. 12, 1918 at Hollis to James and Lou (Rollins ) Seright. She married W.O. Garvin, April 22, 1936. He died May 23, 2000. She worked as Louis Street Pharmacy for 17 years. She was a long time resident of Altus and Jackson County moving here from Hollis in 1955. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus where she served as treasurer of her Sunday School class. She was also a member of the Honey Do Extensions Home Makers. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry Garvin of Kingfisher and Eddie and Shelly Garvin of Blair; two sisters, Ida Richards of Hollis and Myrtle Seright of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Hatter Mary Leon Hatter, 88, Granite, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Burial will follow at Brinkman Cemetery under the direction of Hackney-Gish Funeral Home of Hobart. Hatter was born Nov. 6, 1911, in Willow, to Edward S. and Elizabeth (Sudduth) Wright. She married Herbert Lee Hatter on Dec. 10, 1927, in Mangum. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1986. She was a member of the Willow Baptist Church and had retired as a cashier for many years. She had lived in Greer County all her life, except for the years from 1955 until 1974, when she lived and worked in Snyder, Texas, with her husband and two youngest sons. Hatter was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Earl D. Hatter. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Jo and Ernest Babek, Granite; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Don Hatter of Sierra Vista, Ariz. and his friend Virginia Grewatz; Carroll and Patricia Hatter of Clovis, N.M. and Travis and Helen Hatter of Snyder, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Wilma Hatter of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Annie Carter of Altus; 16 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Hayes Frederick Eugene Hayes, son of R.R. and Fannie (Craig) Hayes, was born Sept. 8, 1911, at Exeter, Calif. He died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Okeene Hospital at the age of 88. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. today at the Seiling Church of Christ with Mike Marsalis officiating. Interment will follow at Munice Cemetery, southeast of Seiling, under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Munice Cemetery Fund or to the Area Medical Foundation with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds. Hayes was known as "Gene" to his family and friends and was raised in California, where he graduated from Pacific Christian Academy in Graton, Calif. He furthered his education at Harding University in Searcy, Ark. He was married to Bertha G. Benson on Feb. 18, 1933, at Clinton. They established their home on the Benson family homestead southeast of Seiling where they raised their two children, Don and Sandra. He remained an active minister of the Church of Christ for many years until his retirement in 1997. He had served many congregations over the years. In 1967, he was one of the founders of the Seiling Church of Christ where he served in many capacities. He was a supporter of York Christian College, Harding University and Lubbock Children's Home as well as the mission work in Zambia, Africa. He was recognized by Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond as proclaimer of the gospel for more than 50 years. In 1997, he received a certificate of membership into the Cowboy Storytellers Association of the Western Plains. He was also inducted into the Dewey County Historical Society Hall of Fame. Hayes was not only a minister but a very active Dewey County farmer and rancher. He enjoyed his livestock and the land. Survivors include: his wife of 67 years, Bertha Hayes; one son, Don and his wife Sherry of Altus; one daughter, Sandra Johnson and her husband Loren Lynn of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Scott and Lyle Hayes and Kathy McNiel; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Hayes was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers. Helm Arlen Dewitt Helm, 73, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, in Altus. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Boyd Whitehead and Stan Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services. Helm was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Shamrock, to Leslor and Fred Henry Helm. He moved with his parents to Roger Mills County and attended Rose Hill School before graduating from Berlin High School in 1945. He entered the Army and served his country during World War II. He was discharged in 1948, but reenlisted in 1950 and began a career in the Air Force, serving during the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. He was stationed in Texas and California, as well as North Africa, Japan and England, until his retirement in 1970. He continued in civil service at Altus Air Force Base from 1971 until 1972, tthe defense reutilization and marketing office at Altus and Fort Sill from 1973 until 1989. He retired in February of 1989 as a property disposal specialist. He was married to Hattie Marie (Baldwin) Helm in Sayre on Sept. 15, 1952, and was a member of the Methodist Church. Helm was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Hattie Helm; one son, John Helm and his wife Phyllis of Snyder; two grandson, Ricky Belcher of Hobart and David Belcher of Wichita Falls, Texas; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Hill Kenneth W. Hill, 60, Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. He retired, after 20 years in the Army, and moved to Rogers in 1981, from Hawaii. He then worked at Rogers Aviation and the city of Rogers until his retirement in March of 1996. He attended Southside Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He survived by his wife of 36 years, June Hill, of the home; two sons, Lance Hill of Pea Ridge and Brian Hill of Bella Vista, Ark.; his mother, Marie Hill of Lawton and one sister, Mary Ann McGee, also of Lawton. Hogg Luda E. Hogg, 98, a long time Granite resident, died Saturday at Mangum City Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Lake Creek Baptist Church with C.R. Kastner was born July 21, 1907, in Cominto, Ark., to W.T. and Mary Johnson Avant. She attended school in Hot Springs, Ark. She married Fred Kastner on July 15, 1923, in Hot Springs. They moved to the Altus area in 1927. She had been an LPN on the obstetrics ward of Jackson County Memorial Hospital from 1950 until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the Oklahoma LPN Association from 1950 until 1974. Her hobbies included volunteer work, ceramics, painting, crochet and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1978; six sisters, Stella and Della Avant, Ida Lee Hunter, Peggy Seate, Ida Lee Knight; two brothers, George and Woodrow Avant and a son-in-law, Mickey Purcell. She was a resident of Altus and Jackson County since 1955. She worked at Altus Air Force Base as a food service manager until her retirement. She was a member of the St. John's Baptist Church, where she served on several Auxiliaries including the Usher Board and Womens Mission. She lived in the Lone Wolf community all of her life and lived on the family farm since 1941. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lone Wolf. She owned and operated North Crain Grocery until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God in Lawton for 40 years. She loved gardening, cooking and traveling. Massey William (Babe) Massey, 69, formerly of Altus, died Friday, June 2, 2000. Graveside services were held today at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. Chaplain David Wilschek officiated. Arrangements were with Porter Loring. Massey was born and reared in Hughes Springs, Texas. He was a Chief Master Sergeant who retired with 33 years service. He served in Vietnam and was a man who loved the military way of life. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Seleeta V. Massey; son and wife Jovey and Patty Massey; daughter Trina Massey, all of San Antonio, Seleeta M. Cornell, Reno, NV; grandchildren Skylar, Starlyn, Chris, Arlene, Felisha, McKynna, Devin and Dylan. Myers Neva Joy Drake Myers, 71, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Rock Hill, S.C. Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eldorado Cemetery with Bill Osborne officiating. Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Myers was the daughter of Everette and Edith Powers Drake. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Wilburn Black and Densel Myers. She had lived in Eldorado and Altus for many years before moving to the Carolinas in 1989. She was a homemaker and member of the Charlotte Ave. Church of Christ in Rock Hill. Survivors include: one son, Tommy Royce Black of Hiawatha, Kan.; three daughters, Joneva Lucille Flowers, Wichita, Kan., Patricia Borchert, Rock Hill and Cristy Merrilee Stiles, also of Rock Hill; four sisters, Nila McCord, Napa, Calif., Bobbie Bently, Eldorado, Kay Babb, Altus and Connie Mincey of Tuttle as well as nine grandchildren. Myers Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8, 2000, for Marjorie "Tommie" Myers at the Clinton First United Methodist Church. Myers died Monday, June 5, 2000, at her home in Clinton. She was born April 1, 1911, and was the daughter of Mattie E. (Walcott) and Senator Thomas R. Moore, pioneer residents of Olustee. She graduated from Olustee High School and attended Christian College in Columbia, Mo. She received her bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma A&M and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was a teacher at Wilson Junior High in Clinton. In 1942, she was married to Robert Douglas Myers. When her husband was called to the Army in 1942, she traveled with him to various military posts until he was called over seas in 1944. In 1946, the couple returned to make their home in Clinton. After Mr. Myers retired, the couple traveled in many foreign countries, and had an apartment in Vienna, Austria, during the opera season. They also spent winters in Naples, Fla., and Scotsdale, Ariz. She encouraged students to get an education and receive a college degree. Myers was a co-founder of the Clinton Junior Service League, a Girl Scout leader, Red Cross volunteer, a board member of the Salvation Army, a member of the Clinton Public Library board. She was also a member of the Worthwhile Study Club and served on numerous other civic committees. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for 10 years. Myers was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, in 1997. Survivors include: a great niece, Susan Shoaf of Aspen, Colo.; a great nephew, Dr. Tom Shoaf of Dallas; a cousin, Mrs. Paul Mock of Altus and six nieces and nephews of Oklahoma City. Plummer Terry Plummer, 62, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer service is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Father Joseph Jacobi will be the celebrant. Burial will be under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home at the Altus City Cemetery. Plummer was born May 17, 1938, in Oshkosh, Wis., to Walter and Rose (Kain) Plummer. He married Barbara Kohl on June 15, 1964, in Germantown, Wis. He was a teacher at Germantown High School. He was the director of human resources at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba, Mich. for 15 years. He was the vice-president of human resources at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He loved fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Plummer was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Nicole Plummer. Survivors include: his wife Barbara, of the home; four daughters, Colleen Koski and husband David, of Houston, Texas, Jeanne Plummer and Mike Lenca, Dallas, Tamara Alberton and husband Lonny of Minneapolis, Minn. and Jessica Plummer of Altus; one son, Jeremy Plummer and wife Melissa of Tulsa; a brother, Ronald Plummer of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Prewitt DeDe Prewitt, 94, died April 14, 2000 in Missoula, Montana. Graveside memorial services were held today at the Altus City Cemetery with Margie Van Oostrum officiating under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Price Molly Louise Price, 90, Vernon, Texas died Monday at Vernon. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Tipton Cemetery with Bill Osborne officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus. She was born March 7, 1910 in Manitou to Jesse Sexton and France Vanetta (Choate) Bruton. She attended school in Olton. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was also a nurse at a state hospital in Winfield, Kan. She was preceded in death by both parents, four sisters, and three brothers. Survivors include two sons, Don L. Patterson and wife, Dorothy of Amarillo, Texas and Joe David Price of Vernon ,Texas; a sister, Frances Pauline Roark of Winfield, Kan.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Rotan George Rotan, 82, died Sunday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Altus City Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Johns officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born May 20, 1918 at Granite to Robert Lee and Russie Rooke Rotan. He was a long time resident of Jackson County. He farmed as long as his health permitted. Survivors include many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, L.V. Rotan Walker; four brothers, R.B., Clyde, Joe, and Marvin Rotan. Russell Services for Annie Dee Russell, 82, Frederick will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Tipton with Elder O.H. Crain officiating. She died Saturday at a Lawton nursing home. Burial will be at the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Tipton Funeral Home. She was born Dec. 8, 1917 in Tipton to Franklin and Laura Burkhalter. She was a graduate of Brownfield High School. She married H.C. Russell May 23, 1937 in Frederick. He died Feb. 25, 1985. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Tillman County. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Russell of Tipton and Joe Russell of Frederick; a daughter Mary Couch of Tipton; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials can be made to the Tipton Childrens Home. Shaw Leonard Bernard Shaw, 87, a life long resident of Jackson County died Tuesday. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Blair First Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at People's Funeral Home in Lone Wolf. He was born July 21, 1912 at Blair. He resided on a farm east of Blair since 1946. He farmed ranched and worked as a welder. He attended Blair schools. Hunting raccoons and bobcats with trail hounds were his favorite hobbies, along with fishing in the North Fork of the Red River. He married to Velma Lee Scruggs Aug. 8, 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Shaw and Myrtle (Woodall) Shaw, and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Velma Lee; a daughter, Erma "Teta" Osborne of Blair and three sons and daughters-in-law, Lyndell, "Hooty" and Fran Shaw of Blair, Larry and Vicky Shaw of Blair and Jerry and Myrna Shaw of Whitney, Texas; two sisters, Doris Winters of Blair and Connie Knight of Mangum; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Stone Jack R. Stone, Sr. a former resident of Altus and most recently residing in Dallas, Texas died on June 15, 2000 at the age of 92. He was born Dec. 22, 1907 in Blue Mountain, Ark. Jack was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother to his family and a good friend to many throughout his lifetime. He was respected as a good man, businessman and community leader of which he was very proud. He lived his life as an example for his family of which his family is immensely proud. His sense of humor and love of life was an example for all and he was a hero to many. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris Elizabeth Jones Stone; survived by his sons, Barry E. Stone, Altus, Oklahoma and Jack R. Stone, Jr., Dallas, Texas; sister, Gwendolyn Seikel, Westminister, Colorado, Granddaughter, Shelly Lyn Armstrong; Grandson, Steve M. Stone; Great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Clair, Jarret and Gabrielle Armstrong; Sabine and Danielle Schaffers; and twins on the way. As the son of E. and Mittye Stone, he started his business career with Firestone in Shawnee, Oklahoma from 1930 to 1938, then as a successful merchant in Tucumcari, New Mexico from 1938-1958; and later owned the First National Bank in Tipton, Oklahoma before retiring in 1977. Vaughan Arrena B. Vaughan, 89, died Wednesday in Altus. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Sonny Tims officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque, Texas under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Arrena Vaughan's name to JCMH Hospice. She was born April 16, 1911 in Hollis to Dan and Dora (Burns) Johnston. She had been a resident of Altus and Jackson County for 20 years. She was a homemaker and a child care provider. She worked at Mothers Day Out at the First United Methodist Church for nine years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Senior Perspectives. Survivors include two daughters, Arrena Sue Littrell of Bethany and Carrleen Coffin of Altus; a son, Elbert Vaughan of Bethany; three sisters, Nancy Smallwood of Plainview, Texas, Kathryn Meeks of Hollis and Dephena Crownover of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, J.D. Johnston; a sister, Girtha Mae Vaughan; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Wagoner Wag Wagoner, 86, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, in Altus. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Wagoner was born Sept. 4, 1913, at Montecito, Calif., the son of Jess and Nora (Lyles) Wagoner. He was raised in the Ozark Community, graduating from Ozark School. He was stationed in England during World War II, receiving six bronze stars and the distinguished unit badge. He retired from Liberty Nation Bank where he served as vice president in 1974. Wagoner returned to Altus after his retirement and did volunteer work at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, as a dispatcher for Southwest Transit and at the Altus Public Library. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include: one brother, Harry Wagoner of Altus; two nieces, Donna Hughes of Oklahoma City and Vicki Avant of Altus; one nephew, Denny Wagoner of Lawton and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will greet friends from 6 until 7 p.m. today at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Wilson May Jean Wilson, 63, Altus, died Tuesday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born March 31, 1937 in Altus to Neely and Lucille Griffin Lidy. She attended schools in Vernon, Texas and Pampa, Texas and was a licensed vocational nurse. She worked in nursing homes for several years in Texas and Oklahoma before her retirement in 1992. She married Frank S. Wilson June 3, 1993 in Vernon, Texas. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Altus. Her hobby was collecting figurines and spending time with children. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Neely Lidy, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Frank S. Wilson, Altus; a daughter, Jewdy Hill, Altus; three sons, John L. Weaver, Houston, Texas; Clarence E. Weaver and Bryant K. Jackson, Altus; her step-mother, Annie B. Lidy, Altus; six sisters, Mary Copeland, Altus; Oretha Moore, Lubbock, Texas; Yolanda and Shalonda Lidy, Altus; Emma Jean Wilson, Stockton, Calif and Dorothy Barber, Oklahoma City; five brothers, Roy Glen Lidy, Altus; Jackie Barber, Oklahoma City, Leonard, Marcus and Ricky Lidy, Tipton; a mother-in-law, Sarah L.
