All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Bowen, Reva Mae March 4, 1921 - March 10, 2007 Reva Mae Bowen, 86, joined her beloved husband, Del on Saturday, March 10, 2007. Reva was born March 4, 1921 in Duke, Oklahoma to John E. and Bessie L. Parrish. Along with her parents and older brother, John Jr., she moved to Calaveras County as a teenager. After graduation from Calaveras High School she married Delmar Bowen in 1938. Reva and Del lived in Northern California their entire married life, settling in Stockton where they raised their family. Reva worked at the Boy Scout Council for several years and attended Stockton Junior College. She became an Accounting Clerk with the State of California, retiring from Cal Trans after more than 24 years of service in 1980. In 1990 Reva and Del relocated to Lodi. Always kind, caring and soft-spoken, Reva taught through example how to be the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of the State Employees Retirees and First United Methodist Church, Lodi. Reva loved to tend her roses and read, she would never miss an opportunity to go to the Lake Tahoe casinos. Most of all she loved to be surrounded by her family. Reva was preceded in death by her brother, parents, one grandson and her husband of 56 years. She will be sadly missed by her children, Ronald C. Bowen (Jeanne) of Stockton, CA and Sondra B. Huff (Steven) of Woodbridge. She is also survived by her adoring five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and her constant companion, grand-doggie Cargo. Friends are invited to attend funeral services Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Gierhart-Wells and Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N. School St., Lodi. Visitation hours are 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or charity of the donor's choice.
