::Childress Cemetery--Childress TX 

Richard Briley

CHILDRESS - Richard Briley, 72, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999.

Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Childress Cemetery 
with the Rev. Jim McCurley of Wichita Falls officiating. Arrangements 
are by Johnson Funeral Home of Childress.

Mr. Briley was born in Tulsa and was a veteran. He was employed as a 
car salesman for Davis Motor Co. He was a member of the Veterans of 
Foreign Wars and First Baptist Church.

He married Tillie Adams in 1945 at Altus, Okla. He was preceded in 
death by a son, Richard Briley Jr. in 1968, and a daughter, Judy 
Oates in 1998.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharon Hernandez in Austin 
and Janice Thomas of Childress; a sister, Wanda Howell of Childress; 
and three grandchildren.
